how to recover faster?

    my recovery is ultra slow, is there anyway to speed it up?

    I do a lot of weightlifting if i am not i the gym, my routine (brivated) is some thing like this


    monday rest
    tuesday weightlifting training(Snatch, squats, overhead squats)
    Wednesday rest
    Thursday, push day
    Friday rest
    Saturday weightlifting (clean, from squats)
    Sunday pull day

    after the weightlifting day, i just get so tired the next day and I feel muscle glycogen is so low i could hardly cope the next day's workout (runing or cardio)

    if i take a lot of fast sugar, it gets better, but i gain a lot of fat with high carb diet. i dont take any supplement because i cant afford them. I take contrast shower, but the benefits is limited.


    there is any trick for faster recovery other than sleep more?

    Try taking branch chain amino acids right after your workout (BCAA's). About 5 grams. Sounds like it works for others.
    Also, if you're going to eat sugar type stuff, eat it immediately after your workout. Your insulin levels are at their highest then.

    Next, try doing cardio right afterwards to release the lactic acid. This should help. Someone else just mentioned something about Michael Phelps doing this in another thread.

    Something else to consider is that with the types of exercises you are doing (basically full body compound exercises) it should take awhile to recover. The lifts you are doing are not easy (I know) and take a lot out of you.

    Work upper body on Mondays and Thursdays. Lower body and abs on Tuesdays and Fridays. Take Wednesdays and the weekends off to give your body 2-3 days of rest between your workouts. You want to avoid overtraining for your body to recover faster.
