Still laughing. This removes all doubt I'm a horrible person. It's the way she reads them.

    Talk amongst yourselves.

Her "correction" was still wrong. No NTSB "official" confirmed the names, just an intern answering the phone, who had no authority to confirm so much as the day of the week. A responsible news station would have gotten the name and title of the "official" who was their source, not a voice on the other end of the phone.

And as the TV station manager had since admitted, one of their several errors was in the anchor not rehearsing the report out-loud, including the non-English names, prior to airing. That's standard practice in the broadcast industry (one of my own degrees, and I've worked on air myself).

No, the TV station screwed up completely. This incident could have been a scene from the comedy film: Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy starring Will Ferrell.

+ 3 seriously you assholes that find this funny on RJ need to take a good long look at yourselves, as both a human being and as a part of a minority.

This has nothing at all to do with with race; rather, it has a lot to do with funny names in general and the pretensions of TV "journalism" in particular. . .

further, was Andrea Martin of SCTV a racist when she portrayed Perini Scleroso? No, of course not.

When Andrea Martin played Perini Scleroso, it was comedy! There is nothing comical or hilarious about a journalist reading "funny" names from an event that caused the death of 3 people and the injury of well over a hundred!

I'm more pissed at the cunt that put up the script than the reader.

It says a lot about how stupid news readers are. Pretty idiots have replaced smart reporters and the vast American audience, fat, slow and stupid, could seemingly care less.

Having slanted squinty Asian eyes is a physical feature to be made fun of. Having big blue (or any exotic color) chestnut eyes is to be adored & praised & cherished.....

Much of the news is decided by interns. Not sure people are aware of that. When you call in or write in with a story, it's usually some dumbass kid that decides whether or not to move it on to a producer.
