An “America’s Next Top Model” finalist remains in Riverside County jail after her latest Palm Springs arrest.

The most recent arrest, which was previously reported by The Desert Sun, made celebrity fodder over the weekend after reported the woman arrested was a former contestant on supermodel Tyra Banks’ reality show.

Renee Diane Alway, 27, of Palm Springs was arrested June 28 after a six-hour standoff, Sgt. Harvey Reed previously told The Desert Sun.

Police who were called to the 600 block of Violeta Drive on report of a suspicious female walking around arrived and found a home with an open back door. They found Alway, who had a firearm, hiding in the garage.

It was at least the fourth time Palm Springs police have arrested her this year, according to a Desert Sun review of court records.

Alway was arrested April 12 and has pleaded not guilty to three felonies — grand theft over $400, grand theft firearm and preventing a witness from testifying.

She was arrested April 24 and pleaded not guilty to two felonies — receiving stolen property and possession of controlled substance — and misdemeanor charges of resisting a peace officer.

After a June 2 arrest, she pleaded not guilty to five felonies — three counts of receiving stolen property, one count of defraud by passing check and using personal identification information of another to obtain credit.

She is due in court Thursday for a drug court evaluation.
