This is a link to the list of donors to the California "Proposition 8" ban on same sex marriages.
I would think that If you know any of these people or have had previous business with the companies or organizations on this list, you may want to express your "displeasure" with their choice.......

It’s sad to hear the LDS Church deny they had any substantial influence on
passing Prop. 8. However, they were tracking donations from their members to support Prop. 8. By their own records of donations over $1,000 the Mormons donated nearly $15 million to support passage of Prop. 8.icon_eek.gif

This is extremely valuable. For example, I found lots of names in my immediate area. All I did is a search on one of these guys who contributed $9900 to Yes on 8 and got this:

    William Cumbelich
    Principal | 28 Years Experience

Bill has extensive experience in tenant representation, project leasing, investment property, and land sales in the San Francisco market. He has completed over ten million sq ft of lease transactions and approximately $1.0 billion in property sales. Some of his clients include: The RReef Funds; Divco West Properties; BJEW Investors; Carlyle Realty; Gap, Inc.; Gerson Bakar & Associates; Goodby Silverstein & Partners; Interland; Lendlease; Lincoln Property Company; Stone & Youngberg; Thelen, Reid & Priest; TMG Partners; and Young & Rubicam. He most recently represented Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe in their relocation to the “Orrick Building” (largest San Francisco CBD lease in 2003) and co-brokered the sale of the former Chevron Headquarters Building (San Francisco Business Times Best Sale of 2003). At The CAC Group, Bill is responsible for CAC’s market research and analyst team. Bill began his career in 1977 at Coldwell Banker (now CB Richard Ellis) in San Francisco where he worked until 1989, achieving the highest title available to a producing broker. In 1990, he became a Founding Principal of The CAC Group.

it also listed his email address and phone number, which I have deleted here.

Well, I cant be sure, but I believe my cousin is on there - same name, zip code, and it would be like my family. What's harder to believe is people putting up so much money to legally kick our heads into the curb. icon_neutral.gif

There are starving and diseased children around the world that need our help; but yah, it's more important that we not be allowed to marry. icon_rolleyes.gif

I bet they're screaming, "I got a golden ticket! I got a golden ticket in my hand! Now Jesus will love me!" Yes, because apparently a new Bible was printed that said bigotry comes before love, and God handed over rights to these people to judge us. Fools - they have their Golden Ticket...to hell!

I found an even more detailed search engine to locate even the small time donors (smallest doation I saw was $10).....this has ALL donors for and against "THE BAN"....and it gives who their employer is......

I did a search just on STATE="OH" for Ohio to findout if I knew anyone and I DO!...and they all gave money opposing the ban! Thank God...I was afraid I was going to have to cut some one off from my life....

He donated 50,000 dollars.... I know him and his whole entire massive Mormon family.

I got a little nauseated when I read that.

    Sad.

I am not really interested in the individuals that supported it, but it is fascinating seeing how much they gave. It's nice to know we at least burned a hole in their pockets!icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

On the other hand I would like to know which businesses gave so I could avoid giving them money in the future if they are in my area.
