    Over 100k.

Perhaps they need a reminder of how much gay people assisted their flocks when they (religulous leaders) couldn't, or wouldn't.

so, Metta, you abjure the beautiful diversity of the world?

on what grounds do you condemn their indigenous, authentic beliefs?

your cultural colonialism is disgusting (or it would be, if I subscribed to your bizarre worldview) . . .

you are a mindless puppet of the Left . . .

Noren - what are you smokin tonite?

Beautiful diversity of the world - that would include cannibals and headhunters; Aztecs cutting out the hearts of living prisoners as they sacrificed to one god or another; Mayans sacrificing those who lost at tennis; Japanese who tortured people for the pleasure of watching. Amazing what beautiful cultural diversity the world has had (and has) if we only accept all cultural practices as natural and celebrate them.

Indigenous beliefs? Harldy. Catholicism is not indigenous to Haiti - brought over by those 17th century colonialists you despise so much. Their indigenous beliefs would include voodoo, other african spirit worship, and (if there are any of the original Indians left) whatever spirit worshiping beliefs those Indians had.

Instead of the idiotic protests against gay and lesbian Haitians, why don't these religious fanatics do something very positive and productive for the people of Haiti like providing food, clean water, and medicine to the impoverished masses. They also could help in the rebuilding of Haiti after that disastrous earthquake.

lol, the good Pastors can relfect (or choke) on this:

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”

27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]”

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’

36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”

Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

    Daggerhawk's Dagger indeed.

That country lives off of hate, that's all they give and receive. Aside from the earthquake financial aids.

Dominican Republic, the country they share an island with, absolutely despises Haiti. Not like us Dominicans hate gays any less /:

They're subpar countries that haven't (for the most part) come out of misery, not even just poverty, it's beyond that. Wouldn't expect them to understand homosexuality in the first place.

The silence from worldwide religions is deafening, and telling. May they reap what they have sown.

And they expect us to feel sorry when they got hit by an earthquake. They could all disaplear tomorrow for all I care. I know this is just another example of religion influencing vulnerable and severely uneducated nations but how can you not see how intolerant and savage your behavior is towards your own kind?

    Quoted from the article:

"I believe in God, and God condemns homosexuality," said protester Eddy Jean-Pierre, a self-described Protestant. "Haiti is not going to accept this, and God will punish us further if we allow this law to pass."

I cant stand religion precicesly because it allows for this type of reasoning. How can you argue someone's god? You cannot. The moment you accepted that God exists and provides meaning to your life based on nothing other than a personal belief, you already abandoned critical thinking hence making it that much harder to be persuaded/educated with actual facts.

Fellow Christians, shall we die for the sake of your righteousness?
Listen to us with your hearts!

    Mother, mother
There's too many of you crying
    Brother, brother, brother
There's far too many of you dying
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today - Ya

    Father, father
    We don't need to escalate
You see, war is not the answer
For only love can conquer hate
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today

    Picket lines and picket signs
    Don't punish me with brutality
Talk to me, so you can see
    Oh, what's going on
    What's going on
    Ya, what's going on
    Ah, what's going on

    In the mean time
    Right on, baby
    Right on
    Right on

Father, father, everybody thinks we're wrong
Oh, but who are they to judge us
Simply because our hair is long
Oh, you know we've got to find a way
To bring some understanding here today
    Oh

    Picket lines and picket signs
    Don't punish me with brutality
    Talk to me
    So you can see
    What's going on
    Ya, what's going on
    Tell me what's going on
I'll tell you what's going on - Uh
    Right on baby
    Right on baby

And I didn't realize that the entire country's citizens were anti-gay. But now that we know, we can feel smug about their impoverished state that the West worked hard to ensure
