The bizarre thing is that the people who generally lionize Edward Kennedy are the same ones who want to burn Zimmerman.

His claims are baseless. He doesn't know Trayvon or Zimmerman.

I'm sure he's the type of person that thinks black gun owners are violent thug troublemakers while white gun owners are obedient law abiding citizens who are just exercising their rights.

But what's the point of this all anyway ScruffLA? You posted these videos so am I to assume that you agree with Rev. Peterson's baseless claims vilifying Trayvon?

This man is an attention seeking troll like many other conservative talking heads, he claimed Obama was elected by black racists and guilty whites.

I don't even understand why so many conservatives are bent on piling on a dead teenager? Don't they have any better causes to focus on? I'll say this much, between Trayvon and Zimmerman, one of the two attacked an officer and was accused of domestic violence. Hint: It wasn't Trayvon. Let's not forget who the real thug is here.

I have no idea who this guy is (Rev Jesse), just saw him make the rounds with Piers Morgan. I just found it interesting that since this guy is black he is referred to as a "Oreo", by his black brother and sisters, a term I suppose to mean that hes "white on the inside and black on the outside", some in the black community have accused president Obama of being an Oreo.

Because he doesn't go along with the race baiting within his own community about this case, he is ostracized by them, the man is entitled to his own opinion, what do you say to black folk who have "crossed over the racial line"?

I do find the term "Oreo" offensive when used in this context

If I remember right, Detroit had one mayor, Dennis Archer, that was called an "Oreo" by the black folks in Detroit because he closely aligned himself with the "white establishment" of the suburbs instead of the all black city counsel when he made city decisions, and of course they didn't like that, so in Detroits case, the racial lines were and have been drawn by the black people of the city, thus Dennis Archer was ostracized by his own community. mayor Archer was the only hope Detroit ever had, after him came Kwame and we all know that Kwame is now in prison for a host of crimes against the people of Detroit. Detroit's last elected a white mayor, Roman Gribbs, in 1969 was following the '67 riots

Well said. And the fact is some thugs have become quite successful.

Republican Congressman Darrell Issa had convictions for auto theft and fraud in his early days. Check out his wiki page:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darrell_Issa

Issa was a total thug by any definition.

Thugs may deserve jail time but not a bullet through the heart by the village idiot/vigilante.

Keeping reading riddler78. That article lays out the details and mocks the hell out of Issa's weak 'lack of memory' about his criminal past.

"Taking Issa at his word (and why wouldn’t you?), you would think that, after his brother’s past had just gotten him arrested, Issa would be a little more careful about borrowing his car, or anything, from him. Apparently, that lesson didn’t sink in, as Darrell would go on to be arrested again, for something he says his brother did:

According to court records, on December 28, 1979, William Issa arrived at Smythe European Motors, in San Jose, and offered to sell Darrell’s car, a red 1976 Mercedes sedan."
ETC. It gets worse for Issa.

You would have had a better chance against Zimmerman with that chain than Trayvon had with his bag of Skittles.

well, unlike Trayvon, I KNEW what areas in Detroit to stay away from, where I didn't belong and didn't go there, the chain was just for emergency insurance in case those pan handlers @ the liquor store or at a traffic light thought they would try to get money from me, I have way too many stories to tell, too many for this forum.

Part of the noise in the debate is people's inability to get their point across without sounding like heartless bastards. What many (not all) who are on the "Trayvon was a thug" train should say is they don't believe that Trayvon was as defenseless and helpless as what others are alleging. They feel like Trayvon, by his height and pics on his Facebook with guns, and alleged trouble at school was more than able to hold his own when needed. This view would make people more likely to believe Zimmermans account that he was getting his ass whooped by a mightier Trayvon than the child description. Thereby, the narrative of Trayvon had no other choice might be less accurate.

I think for me, I'd like the message to other black boys/men to be that you have a choice in every second of every interaction you have. The saying, "10% of life is what happens to you and the other 90% is how you react to it" needs to be taught to all teenagers. I can totally understand why Trayvon acted the way he did, but I also feel that there are other options that could have kept him alive, assuming he wasn't jumped by GZ.

" assuming he wasn't jumped by GZ."

I haven't been able to assume that.

I haven't been able to assume that GZ had no reason to lie about his version of events.

Have you considered the possibility given that even his friend suggested that she believes Trayvon Martin threw the first punch?

Let's also not forget that at the time Trayvon Martin was shot, Martin was bashing Zimmerman's head on concrete.

You know, thug life is wonderful. We should not ctiticize it. Trayvon is a perfect example of thug life.

The poor slob, he can't stay away and doesn't know how to pick a name, city, age, weight and stick to one profile. But on the other hand, when you're banned from R.J. repeatedly, I guess you have to choose a new identity to come back and keep on trolling. This poor idiot has contacted my friends here trying to malign me, and trying also to get my contact information and address. Poor angry slob. I hear he's just an overweight, out of shape, miserable, bi-polar, lonely soul who lives in his mother's basement. I guess we should feel sorry for him. But I don't want to see him climbing the wall in front of my house.
