ive watched a lot of shark stuff and movies but this one is just a bit off, like the only thing "real" about sharks in this one is great whites breaching water, "air jaws" to catch prey, why would they eat people after being flung into the air? are they mad?

reality TV is a muck mash, why not a stupid SyFy movie too, anything to entertain the masses, maybe Nado 2, the sharks will be zombies, im sure PlayStation has got a game in the works to shoot flying sharks, this movie has gamer written all over it icon_rolleyes.gif

they can battle eachother in the airborne tornado and once coming in for a landing, they can battle eachother again for a human dinner, fight to the finish to see which one dies first without water

    Crazy.......icon_rolleyes.gificon_lol.gif

This movie is a revolution. Shark films used to be all about the Jaws of sharks. That was good but people wanted more, and eventually we got films focused the entire shark. Next we took another great step forward when we started combining sharks with other creatures, which brought us movies like Sharktopus. Now we are no longer limited to combining sharks with creatures. It is a paradigm shift in shark films once again, where now sharks can be combined not with other creatures, but with natural disasters. This opens the door to many great ideas. For example:

Sharknami: A tsunami hits a city, flooding it with water and sharks. The water may drain away, but the sharks remain!
Sharkcano: A volcano erupts, but instead of lava, it spews out sharks.
Sharksteroid: An asteroid made entirely of sharks is heading toward the earth. Some guy in a military uniform near a radar screen will say something to the effect "Sir, they're.. they're not burning up in the atmosphere!"
Sharkuake: A movie about a very strong earthquake, but also, sharks are involved somehow.

That's the funny thing about these movies: they're so terrible people will sit and watch them, ergo sequels get made.

One of the things you young bucks have to look forward to as you get as ancient as I am is losing most interest in pop culture. You eventually get to a point where you don't even *know* about stuff like this unless you're on a forum with a bunch of much younger guys.

    Sharknado. OMFG. icon_rolleyes.gif

THAT is one of the funniest and craziest things I've seen in a long time. I'm super excited because Ghost Shark is playing on my cable SyFi station in one hour, followed by Sharknado!!

Not a new concept, cult following classic movies around a long time, hence Rocky Horror Picture Show.

here is the famous scene from Dead Alive, horror comedy icon_surprised.gif

ok, I just watched it (SyFy) for the first time, OMG, I laughed through the whole thing, LA doesn't look like that for most of the movie except for the overhead SM pier shots and scene, you can see where they made a lot a conceptual mistakes that were hilarious, what would LA be without a police chase and the Jaws reference(s)had me on the floor rolling, I am still laughing as a write this icon_lol.gif

    once is enough, I don't think I will be a follower icon_lol.gif
