I seem to notice that quite a few hot models originate from the mid west.

Also, I heard that mid-westerners are generally tall. Is it true?

    *grin*

I grew up in Iowa and truth be told, midwestern men come in all shapes and sizes just like everywhere else in the world. However, I do have one “cornfield of the Gods” story. I was driving from my parents’ home in WI to my grandmother’s in IA. A new highway was being built so the drive was interrupted by construction delays. I’d pulled into a small store just off the access road to get a coke. OH SWEET JESUS. The construction crew was taking a break... and it must have been a family firm. Six to eight guys 6’4” 220 tanned, blond, muscles hard from work, smelling like sun and sweat all clustered around the check-out counter. My brain short-circuited. If I believed in heaven…

Probably not much different than anywhere else... I would assume.

In reality, it wouldn't be surprising if the average Midwesterner was a little taller than the average American overall. The northern midwest in particular traces most of its genetic ancestry to Scandanavia, where people are, on average, taller than in most of the rest of the world. But, like anything else, there's a distribution to it, and there are plenty of tall people on the coasts and short people in the interior, even if the averages are a little different.

It's because we were all raised on red meats and potatoes.

My experience has been that one of the hottest guys in the midwest hails from Wichita, Kansas!

I lived 11 years in the Upper Midwest, and the dominant groups in WI, MN & ND are Scandinavian and German. My own BF was an actor and model, Norwegian heritage, with a rugged cowboy look to die for, and muscles as hard as rocks. And I saw a lot of others like him, too.

icon_eek.gif By the time I stopped standing there like a gobsmacked idiot, regained a bit of my composure and remembered why I was in the store to begin with… They were walking past me out the door. icon_redface.gif
