Okay this is gonna seem like a werid thread, but I am curious? How often do you shave?

I only have to shave like twice a week! I only started growing facial hair when I was 18... there are guys who are 13/14 years old who have more hair than me!

It's kinda embarassing and annoying. Damn, I feel like a women! I couldn't find anything credible on the net about it... and actually asked my doctor. She said... just be lucky you don't have to shave everyday

    A normal guy's "5 o'clock shadow" is my "three-day shadow!"

Whats more is the hair that I do have only grows under my chin/jaw--from sideburn to sideburn. No gotee for me ever.

    Anything else like this?

Oh and btw in case you're wondering... I don't have a high pitch voice lol

I don't know this makes you feel inadequate. I'd love it if I only had to shave twice a week. Besides, you'll be one of those guys that looks 28 when you're 40, so count your blessings.

I shave every other day. I'm 38 and my daily growth isn't enough to shave every day, it's too irritating for me.

I shave every 2-3 days, and I'm practically the only one who notices that I have to. Sometimes I wish I could grow a full beard icon_sad.gif

it used to bother me that i could go 2-3 days without shaving.

now it's a godsend! I still wish i could grow decent sideburns, but i wouldn't trade those for my ability to skip the irritation and the ingrowns that come from daily face scraping....

My '5 o'clock shadow' is more like my 'noon shadow'. It sucks.

I can't shave every day though. My face gets really badly irritated if I do.

    i hate shaving so much

be happy that you dont have to shave everyday, the more you shave the faster your hair grows back

i try not to shave everyday but my face gets irritated with all my hair there, so i have to shave sooner than later

I shave every 2-3 days. I have lots of facial hair. I only let it grow beyond stubble in the dead of winter, then it keeps me warm. I have a redbeard

I shave everyday without irritation. I don't use soap, just hold a hot wet cloth to my face prior. I use Gillette Fusion which is an expensive razor.

I can skip a day, but prefer not to. I like the smooth shave feel when I'm shaved. When I have a goatee or beard, I can grow it out within about 10 days. After that I have to trim it weekly to keep it from getting wirey and curly.

I despise shaving because I have a very heavy beard yet very sensitive skin. It hurts more often than not. I have to shave daily since I work in a very professional office and I look like a terrorist without it, although my husband thinks my stubble is sexy...

i shave every 2-3 days also. it depends on the "look" i'm going for.. 5 o'clock shadow, scruffy, clean-cut, etc. it's nice not having to shave every day though. every 2-3 days is enough in itself.

I had to start shaving just before I turned 13. I could have grown a full-coverage beard while I was still in HS, but it wasn't allowed. Today I still have to shave daily, even twice if I'm going out at night.

I have a five o'clock shadow by noon. Thus I gave up and grew the beard, so that I could trim it every few days.

Now I have gotten rid of the beard again (I guess I need new pics), and am back to shaving once daily, because twice a day is too much. The odd thing is that I don't have matching body hair. I basically have nothing between my waistline and my throat.

I dont really shave... I use a trimmer at its lowest setting and I go with the scruffy look most of the time. Usually I trim the "beard" every other day.

I shave with a razor only when I need to. Interviews, special occasions...

...And actually most ppl I know prefer the scruffy look on me. SO, I guess I am lucky.

I have to shave every day and use a razor (with warm water and a decent treatment) to get it close, otherwise I'll have a 5:00 shadow long before.
Those "shadows" can be hot, but when I'm seeing clients, it makes sense to look well groomed.

I didn't have to start shaving until I was 15, and even now in my late 20s I'm only shaving every 2-3 days. (And, for what it's worth, I sing baritone--lack of facial hair does not grant high pitched voices across the board) It's great--less skin irritation, less scratchy stubble, and fewer chances to cut my face open with a razor. The one time I grew out my facial hair, to prove a point to a friend, it took 3 weeks to get what my brother ends up with in 2-3 days.

For those who are curious, the point I was making with the growing mine out was that not all men look better with facial hair. This is me with it:

BioNerd, I'd disagree, facial hair looks good on you.

Personally I never shave, I use clippers and keep a 5 o'clock shadow all the time, I hate shaving with a passion it hurts like hell and it makes my skin look terrible.

Generally, I shave twice a week with a razor. Like the '5 o'clock shadow' look. Work in a research lab so things are pretty relaxed. Had some facial hair but I shaved it all off for Halloween recently. My friends liked the clean shaven look on me so I'm going to keep it for a while and probably end up shaving more. We'll see.
