This has been revealed as the official title for the sequel to the 2012 superhero film The Avengers during Comic-Con 2013. Many fans like myself were speculating that the main villain for the second film was going to be Thanos with the unexpected ending of the first film with his appearance but it has been confirmed that the actual villain will be indeed Ultron.

For those not familiar with this villian, Ultron is the creator of the Vision, which is one of the characters rumored for a new Avengers film, with some fans pegging hopes on Vin Diesel to be cast in the part.

The film is set for release May 1, 2015 and will more than likely feature the same cast from the first film with a few added new faces.

Although i had high hopes for Thanos to appear in this film. I think that he will be in the third sequel that will be made after this one.

It has been confirmed that he will be appearing in Guardians Of The Galaxy which will be coming out next year.

Yes, I heard! I'm somewhat dissapointed because I wanted 'Avengers 2' to be about Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. But that story is just very epic. They might be waiting for 'Avengers 3' to tell that story. Thanos does kill many superheroes in the comic book saga of the Infinity Gauntlet.

Yes, I was very upset with this decision because i was so sure that Thanos was going to be the next villain at first due to that ending. There's a possibility that he will make a appearance at the end of the second film which will tie into the third where he will be the main villain.

I've read alot about him and hes considered to be one of The Avengers most powerful adversaries. I don't even think The Hulk could stand a chance against him.
