I live literally across the street from the bar where they were last seen. The murder took place in a high rise that is literally feet from here.

Texas may be a terrible country, but at least they still have the death penalty, and it's not delayed for many years like in other states. Too bad it's not the old-fashioned hanging.
Hopefully they don't allow a "gay panic" defense ("Oh my god, I was with a gay guy - now I have to kill him - I just can't help myself.").

Texas is a state, and he'll probably get manslaughter or 2nd degree.

Texas may technically be a state, but it really is its own country.
2nd Degree? Why? Because he was killed "in the heat of passion?"

It's very sad. David was a friend of mine, and a very good friend of my ex's. He was a great guy, and will be missed.

I couldn't agree more. I remember when Obama was re-elected Texas was sending out petitions that it should be annexed from the United States, Austin on the other hand sent out their own petitions asking that we be annexed from Texas all together and would still like to be under the U.S. It was things like this that makes me sad to be called a Texan.

And i'm not sure why but the picture of the guy who was attacked looks very familiar to me.

    No, I didn't do it. -_-

Also, want to know who's crazy? Random jackasses who feel the need to take a tragic death and make it about their petty biases against a state. Thanks for keeping it classy.

Maybe its just me but I kinda hated the way it was written. It seemed to me that they only pointed at one guy being gay while the killer was not...

Or perhaps I just read the article on speed mode :S

calling someone un-classy and pointing fingers is kind of ironic don't you think? I personally feel that people personal opinion's about their state's rules on punishing convicted criminals does correlate to this topic.

so my question for you is-

So now you get down to directly mocking friends of the deceased. Could you be any more tacky and contemptible?

My first answer was never about "your friend" I was talking about the state as a whole, and what they have done to earn my distane for it. But you constantly try and attack me by using "your friend's" death as a catalyst to justify your attack towards me. If anything, to me you are using his death as an excuse to gain a bit of publicity that you actually knew him.

calling someone tacky, on something as simple as stating how they subjectively feel about something as minuscule as what they think of their own state, only proves your ignorance.

I'm glad that out of all the things you can nit pick is a minor error and simple as something as a typo.
