Lol did you bother reading the article? They aren't even being penalized for not being able to meet the performance objectives - so how is that even a quota? Meanwhile you ignore a whole slew of real scandals.

    LOL

I certainly did read the article. However, I comprehended it.

Don't you have other things to be superior about, oh Oz the Great and Magnificent?

Comprehended it? That's a pretty big word for you. It does suggest however you didn't understand it at all, particularly think it's a smoking gun of sorts haha.

"Sylvie Therrien told CBC News that she was suspended without pay after leaking documents related to "quotas" issued to investigators who oversee employment insurance benefits.
Therrien claimed she and her co-workers were given a target to recover nearly $500,000 in claims every year.
"It just was against my values, harassing claimants… trying to penalize them in order to save money for the government. We had quotas to meet every month," she told the network."

As I anticipated, when posting this topic, it appears Riddler assumes this woman is lying.

I don't doubt she was given targets - the government even used those words. You and the article are using the words "quotas" which suggest that it is a requirement - except as the government also pointed out, which Therrien has not denied, there are no penalties for not meeting those targets.

You do realize those employees are in fact heavily protected? No, but that's probably because you didn't "comprehend" what you read either. icon_lol.gif

But do keep digging - you're only making yourself look like a bigger fool.

*amused that Riddler completely missed the point of the article*

Tell us, Riddler, how much you have paid into EI.

Quite a bit. I'm even further amused at what little critical thought you put into reading the article. I got the point. I also noticed that they weren't able to back away from the very basic and obvious underlying fact which you overlooked. icon_lol.gif

    "quite a bit" he says.

Now that's very interesting, considering you're an entrepreneur. icon_lol.gif

That I am - I wasn't always though. But do please, tell me more about my life icon_lol.gif

Seeing as how you have difficulty "comprehending" a pretty basic article, I'd like to know more. icon_lol.gif

*amused that someone who is self employed would claim to pay voluntarily into an entitlement program that he wants eradicated*

Heh did I say I did? No wonder why you make such a fool of yourself - you have this inability to think either critically or read comprehensively.

Erm, you should really go back and read some of the stuff you've posted in the past on other topics about those dreadful entitlement programs. I imagine you'll do some quick edits to cover your tracks. Now get going.

Lol - you assume I had a choice for paying into EI. Are you really that slow? Did you miss the point above where I pointed out I haven't always been self employed? icon_lol.gif
