Well to start I have always had trouble to gain weight, if you see my profile I'm a slender guy that could be considered skinny, I have done diets to gain weight but then I get stuck and the most i have gained is about 15 pounds that aren't noticeable... on the other hand i don't want to develop a body builder body but more athletic and just defined slender body. I like doing cardio but I know i shouldn't.
When I did my diet I used to have these meals
    for breakfast:
A full blender of protein shake that had oatmeal, banana, honey, milk and protein powder. Then a glass of fresh orange juice and 5 pancakes. After that I had some creatine with grape juice. That was my breakfast everyday

Then I had my snack that was two sandwiches of tuna in whole grain bread a glass of water and an apple

then i worked out and after working out had creatine and grape juice again, then had my lunch that was 5 tortillas baked, 2 chicken grilled breast and a salad of tomato and letuce.

then had a snack and then some protein shake like my breakfast and a potato boiled

    worked out 1.5 hours

any advice? didnt do much with that

    Here's the deal:

If you go on a mass gaining diet - you WILL gain fat. It's a fact of life. You'll just have to make due. What most people do is just put on as much mass as they can (from preferably GOOD sources like cheeses and peanut butter not fast food) and then trim.

For instance take me. I weigh 146 lbs and my goal weight is 150. What I'm doing , is putting on as much mass as I can by eating a lot (nearly 4,000 calories worth) I will bulk to 160 and then trim to 150.

Track your calories. It's a pain but you gotta stay on your game. Your probably just not getting enough.
