Pre/Post Workout drinks affecting sleep

I used to drink them during my workouts but a little over a year ago, I found that I was not able to sleep after drinking one. I stopped drinking them several months later and tried it again and have the same result.

I find it strange that my body just wont let me drink them any more. I have tried a few brands and get the same result. I don't know if the brands changed something in them and are using the same stuff or not. But from just drinking one, I get barely any sleep and it makes me feel tired for a few days after that because of it. I even tried 1/2 the recommended amount and it still affected my sleep. I don't normally have trouble sleeping.

I don't think that the drinks really did much in terms of improving my performance for me anyways. But I was curious if anyone else has experienced anything similar.

I have no problem drinking the protein drinks.

I seem to become intolerant to them . Honestly look at the labels so much crap in them. I started to just make smoothees from natural ingredients and that works out fine. It may sound nasty by green smoothees made with nitric acid rich veggies and coconut water taste great.

Drop them. My logic is this. If you're too tired to work out, that is your body's way of letting you know that you shouldn't work out. You shouldn't have to take drugs to get you going in the gym.
