Most of them look worse in person when you have hookups or just to meet to chat.

Usually the photos were taken during the Clinton Administration.

If not you've been meeting the wrong people. I'm so unphotogenic I'm always told photos don't do me justice; no one's ever disappointed.

    You should meet Matiz ^

He's not photogenic either; in person, he looks exactly like his gorgeous photos.

You should expect most people don't look like their pic 100% when they post it online. Online are usually superficial, so are most gay men. If you want the look then video chat and see more before you meet to chat.

People select the best picture of themselves because they are advertising. Ever notice how some images of foods always look better than the meal you get delivered?
Not to mention, most gay men are shallow and stupid, so they think they can send out pictures that are a decade (or more) old and no horndog with an erection will care when they answer the door for their latest hookup.

If you believe that, maybe it's a good reason to keep them to a minimum...lol

I think I come across better looking in photo's, it's a lot to do with body language and how you hold yourself, people don't judge purely on looks

True story...though I've met a few guys who have said something along the lines of 'you actually look like your pictures' but with an element of surprise. Plus I take new ones fairly regularly. I'm on a mission to meet someone...so no sense in having false representation.

Most say I look 'better' in person... but everyone's different and their/your mileage may vary. ALWAYS assume pics online are a 'best-case' version. It IS advertising, after-all!

Not sure why you limit it to gay men: straight men, straight women, and lesbians all complain about that very same thing.

I have chronic derp face. That's what you get if you try to spontaneously take photos of me.

Hmmm......I've had experiences on both ends of the spectrum. I've met guys and actually said "who are you?" icon_eek.gif But I've also met guys who's photos were just average, but turned out to be smoking hot in person.
