Let wait and see. I think most african countries ddnt get a fair trade. While we gave our colonisiers everything, they gave us religions which they failed to interpret and then left the whole continent in havoc.

I was talking to a friend a couple weeks ago about what Belgium did in Africa and the way they left it, which explains why the Congo area is such a mess politically today. It is unbelievably horrible what happened and how people were treated. I feel like Belgium should at least be sending funds over there to help repair the damage done. I'm really not sure what would work. But something needs to be done.

    Belgium's imperialist rape of Africa

"By means of bribes and lobbying, Leopold gained recognition for the Congo in 1884 by the United States, followed by a similar deal with France."

    Congo Free State, 1885-1908

"There is some debate over whether the Congo catastrophe qualifies as genocide, because the Congo state did not act with the intent of eliminating one or more ethnic groups.[2] However, the 1948 UN Convention on Genocide includes deliberate killings, for whatever motive, of members of an ethnic group with the intent to destroy them as such, “in whole or in part.” This suggests that the Congo Free State, in deciding to wipe out particular ethnic groups that resisted its inhuman practices, did indeed practice genocide.[8]"

The Belgium King is actually stepping down. Their own government has been in trouble for many years now: http://www.iol.co.za/news/world/belgian-king-bids-subjects-farewell-1.1549990#.Ue_vU43VC84

Wait and see for what ?

Ugandans have been advocating killing gays for years now. If you are gay, just be thankful that Mandela had good gay friends, so that equal rights for gays was put in the SA constitution.

well i am glad, as much as i will like to blame the countries for the these acts, there are a lot of factors that cause this type of behaviour. One being religion. Most african believe the bible is law plus the general african superstitions it even worse. We all know that a bible in the hands of imbeciles is worsE THEN AN ATOM BOMB.

most countries in africa are still a reflection of their colonisiers. As much as they got the ownership of their countries, they are still stuck with that mindset which they have adopted from their colonisiers. It sad that at this day and age, that such brutality and lack of humanity still surrounds this troubled continent.
