My fair brothers and sisters, on November 15th, our community is mobilizing to march on our local city halls in solidarity against our common enemies: inequality, prejudice and discrimination.

Please go to this website ( http://www.jointheimpact.com/ ) and get details for your local area of the country.

Please encourage your friends (Gay, Straight or somewhere in between).

This is not a movement solely for the LGBT community but for humanity!

As cliché as it sounds: United we stand, divided we fall.

I know there are divisions within our own community but we need to put these differences aside in this effort.

We may have differences but we must realize that our differences have no bearing on our worth as human beings.

Let's march and move forward in the cause of Human Solidarity!

Spread the word. Call on your national civil rights organizations (HRC, GLAD, GLAAD, NCLR, LULAC, NAACP, Lambda Legal, ACLU etc...)

It is time to stop being a victim! It's merely a defeatist state of mind! We are survivors! We owe it to Scotty Weaver, Matthew Shepard, Harvey Milk, PFC Barry Winchell (US Army) and every other slain member of our community! For if we fail to demand what is rightfully ours, we will secure our persecutions and our oppression for the foreseeable future for every young child that will realize that he or she is gay and they will have no choice but to make that horrible choice of whether they accept or deny who they are!

It's our choice! The time is now!

    Thank you for your time.

Very slow load time to that site. I'll be pedaling down to Key West on the 15th for an HIV/AIDS fundraiser, arriving early afternoon, but will look for local protest events. Nothing listed for KW at that site so far, but that may change by Saturday. I see several other places in Florida, too bad I won't be home in Fort Lauderdale for theirs.

This "Find Your City" link may load faster:
