It looks like my work will take me to Sydney in the next few months. I have been there several times before, but was usually too busy to go much beyond the opera house or Bondi Beach.

Anyone have any advice on where to live? I have a dog, so the city center really will not work for me and I am not that keen for that type of life anymore. Was thinking Manly Beach although I have been told it is pretty removed from everything.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience to pass along? Appreciate the feedback.

If you like the night life in Sydney you may want to find something around the Kings Cross area. Manly Beach is definitely a nice area but you will have to rely on using lots of public transport and that is never fun on the return trip home from a night out!
I will ask my friends that live there (via Facebook) what is the area to be in and will let you know!
    Happy Packing!

Thanks Teapimp! The public transport can be an issue. Def not looking for the full on night life, but do like to pop in now and again.
