Do gay guys spend a lot of time grooming themselves? I presume it's more than straight guys, right? Like manscaping your pubes and cleaning up your facial hair. Do you go as far as waxing down there?

It might be a dumb question, but I want to know if the majority do that sort of thing.

I really wish the admins would put a lower character limit on thread titles.

I trim and manscape every once a month certain areas. Waxing? heck no.

I take less time than it takes to read this:

They do. Looks are highly valued within the gay community(no surprise there.) I would say they spend the most on taking care of their faces and do fine grooming.

Nope. I shave my face every few days as needed but that's about it. The only thing I'm really obsessive over are having short fingernails and toenails.

Would that be trimming it, title-scaping? icon_lol.gif

Personally I keep everything pretty groomed. Arms, legs, chest, pubes, ass. Even toes. Not like baby smooth but at least fine trimmed. It just looks cleaner and more organized.

I shave off my beard and moustache when the stubble shows, I shower twice a day and trim my pubes. That's about it.

I spent 30 to 40mn in the shower and brush my teeth 3 times a day. My boss and workers have told me I have smooth skin.lol. They always touch my skin. Of course straight men do as well

I make sure my hair is flat after coming out of the shower and I shave most days. That's about it. Once I trimmed my pubic hair, but that was just because a guy I had been on a few dates with had asked me to. I might do it again if I found a guy worth doing it for. But seriously, I have straight friends who spend more time with their hair than I do. One of them said to me once that he's "like a girl" (with regards to how long his grooming takes him) which I thought was tremendously ironic considering I'm probably the one who's more like a girl all things considered!

40 minutes?! What do you DO in there for 40 minutes?!

I have a five-minute shower in the morning, a five-minute shower after the gym, I shampoo my hair every forth or fifth day, trim body hair as needed, trim my facial hair every third or forth day, brush my teeth like a normal person, moisturize when I feel scaly, etc. It's not rocket science.

I had a work-out partner who used to scold me for looking at my hair in the gym mirror instead of looking at my muscles like everyone else. Ha!

I shower twice a day, once in the morning, once after the gym. Shave my face in the morning, brush my teeth twice/day, and manscape as necessary, usually once a week. As you get older, it takes a bit more attention but that is because it really does need more attention. Just figure out what makes you look good (in your opinion) and then keep it that way without being compulsive.

I've got my routine set to eliminate wasted time and clean-up. While showering in the morning, I also wash hair, brush & floss teeth, shave my face & neck, and also manscape if needed. I do this all quickly and then have no mess on the sink, counter or mirrors. Easy. Then, after pool & gym work outs, I quickly shower (no shaving) and just go home. So easy. I take care of my nails & cuticles (removing dead skin around the nails) once a week while sitting on the patio or something - when they're wet - and I'm all set. Last is checking ears & nose for any little hairs, and I get rid of them quickly - about twice a week. My routine is a cinch, and I can look pretty good without taking a lot of time.

Plenty of straight guys do it as well. Almost everybody loves to groom themselves. At my previous work place, I've seen my male collegues keeping deos and facewash in their office lockers. Many of my straight friends shave or trim down there, just like I do. icon_biggrin.gif

I'm guilty of that love clean look, super soft and smooth. Worth every bit. And do tend to spend time on my grooming as u have to be ur best when in public eye not scruffy looking no pun intended to anyone here. It's better to be well groomed well that's my in. ;))))

Takes about an hour in the morning to get me out the door. (including getting dressed) Probably more so because I like to sloth through my routine. I keep my hair pretty groomed but it only needs to be done every few days to 1x a week depending on the area.

Most of my time I spend taking care of my skin... Cleanser, toner, under eye, moisturizer, and sunscreen (Mask 2x a week). It sounds like a crazy waste of time but my skin has never looked better, besides you only get one face so may as well take care of it.
