Those sites aren't as good as this 2.5" thick book. Trust me, I use the Internet ALL the time for research. I want a book I can cuddle with in my bed. icon_wink.gif

Yeah, I got mine 6 months before I turned 50. And at a new mailing address I'd only had for about 3 months, that I'd kept from marketers, only the US government having it for my checks and notifications. Hmmmm... icon_confused.gif

Hmm you have the movie"6 days,7 nights" with Harrison Ford and Anne Heche on your list. What did you like about that movie that you would want to own it? Just curious.

I've never opened the damned AARP things! But they have their benefits. 57 now......and may look into it, on MY terms.

I see several purchased gifts. I never tried this Amazon feature before, and the Wishlist view can be changed to show purchased gifts and unpurchased wishes.

Avoids the problem of getting several of the same gift, and may help a giver to choose a gift that might compliment another already received. The gift registry concept taken online to Amazon. Makes perfect sense, just never saw it before. Do you have to be specially registered with Amazon to use it? And can the giver remain anonymous?

I'm a big fan of "Jewel of the Nile" type films, and although I lost a bit of interest with Anne Heche when she went nuts and roamed around one night, she did a good job in this film. It's not on the top of my list, but I like it enough to want to have it.

Thanks for letting me know. Most of the Purchased gifts were gifts that I bought myself from my wish list. I now deleted those. And yes, you have to create an account with Amazon (so they know where to ship items).

    Well, happy 50th.

As I approach 66, an item very close to the top of my wishlist is having the money to give presents.

Wishing you a boatload of bargains from the public library used book sale.

The girl at the feed store asked me if I had my "senior discount card" the other day. Up until then, I had been feeling unusually pumped and reasonably proud all day. icon_rolleyes.gif

    Oh, and happy birthday!

Thanks. But does the GIVER need to create an Amazon account, too? And can the giver remain anonymous if they choose?

Not sure if the giver needs a login, but it's anonymous, unless you add a note. Send me a gift and you'll find out. icon_wink.gif

My AARP card package came in the mail today. icon_wink.gif

Is it really good for anything? Seems most restaurants and places only give discounts to senior citizens 65 and older.

True ... I think it is just an AARP scam to get younger people to buy their information.
