Abusive women like this infest South Florida, it's just a given. Especially as you get into Palm Beach County. We call them "Boca Bitches" after the city of Boca Raton. Not that they're exclusive to Boca, but the incidence is especially high there.

I'm glad to see this particular bitch confronted, although it doesn't seem to have done much good. She suffered no consequences and I doubt she'll be changing anytime soon. If we tried that here with a Boca Bitch we'd inevitably run into her high-powered attorney husband, or family friend, who'd sue us for our life savings.

As a result the bitches here are given a wide-berth and a free hand. Too bad, they need to be confronted more often.

That cashier may be onto something. Free Frosties might promote zero tolerance for bullying!

Ugh. The woman was a total bitch, but not a bully.

Why are people so freely tossing that word around?

I work with with crazy customers on a daily basis, whenever a customer starts to get unruly I just shrug my shoulders and walk away. Ignoring those haters are just a hair brush away!!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I know. She was just a bitch, not a bully. Customer service is filled with those sort of confrontations. Not that it's right.
Once when I was a supervisor, long story short, it was physically impossible for me to give a woman what she wanted and she told me how much she was going to enjoy getting me in trouble.
Later that week, my boss got a letter that totally lied about how rude I was and how I should be fired.
How can anyone be like that?
At the time, I was just happy to see the boss throw the letter in the garbage. Today, I'm still wishing I saved her name and address so I could call her up and tell her off.
(I'm pretty mild with revenge. I have on several occasions called customers just to tell them how rude they were. I'm the etiquette vigilante!)

I've worked at Arby's and dealt with that on a number of occasions, though usually there's some reason for why they're yelling, even if it's just a misunderstanding on their part.

There was one time that there was a power outage all throughout my town, and every food place had no power... except for Arby's. The place was so packed all night that you could expect it to take an hour to take your order and another hour to actually get it.

Some people were obviously displeased by this, but the second anyone tried to bitch about it twenty other people told them to shut the fuck up, they're doing their absolute best to get an unreasonable amount of people fed.

June 29, 2012? At Maxtown and State Street in Westerville? If so, I was there. The only place that had power for several miles.

I've worked retail for 5 years now and am always stunned by the human race and the way they treat people when they don't get what they want.

It upsets me people will lie and call to attempt to fire someone when that employee could have kids and a family to support all because they didn't save 5 dollars on something.

I've fortunately never experienced anything Terrible in that 5 years but it definitely gives me little patience for a hole customers.

I'd hope I'd make it a point to stand up for someone given circumstances like this. I never want to be one of those people who just stands and does nothing! icon_sad.gif

We live in NJ and HI, and I can safely say this is sadly not an infrequently observed type of behavior from many NJ and Long Island women. Sad and typical, they exemplify complete and utter lack of self-respect by behaving in such a manner.

And the "dog with a bone" attribute as to later following up her deplorable behavior with an attempt to further vilify the server for her act of kindness toward those who, rightly, expressed the sentiment on behalf of mannered, courteous, nice people everywhere, is typical of the more standard bullies who need a good putting-in-their-place.

One wonders what their home life is like, though frankly, my dear, we don't give a damn! icon_biggrin.gif
