Is it the same at your gym? I look around and everybody has a tattoo. I'm like damn, what the fuck? I haven't decided what I want to get yet so I haven't gotten one. I don't mind them on other people, but I feel left out lol.

I have a tattoo, but I am the minority at my gym (in more than one way!). When you factor in women, teens, and children, the percentage with ink is not that great. If we are talking just men, I would say less than half the men have a tat. But there are a few guys who have felt the need to pick up the slack!

Half of these guys look as if they fell asleep drunk and some other drunks scribbled on them with a sharpie. And what about the fat women waddling down the street? They all seem to be inked up too. And the ladies in the bank. Well, I've been wondering how such a small town can support three tattoo shops...

I would think twice before getting a tattoo. I have seen them on older guys and its clear they got them a long time ago and due to the natural and inevitable sagging of the skin over time, the tattoo gets all distorted and looks really weird.

Same here - most probably. Though I have seen some 'arm/wrist bands' and sleeves that were cool. But damn - that shit's EXPENSIVE(!!) And I have other priorities...

I saw a guy at the gym yesterday, he had his entire body , at least what I could see, tattooed. It was a terrible eye sore. I was just thinking "WTF". He was a good looking guy, it's such a shame they feel the need to do that to themselves and waste all that money.

I'm just going to get an arm covered in a giant blue-green smudge when I'm 65. That should save the wait.

I remember growing up when a lot of older guys that had been in WWII, yep I'm old, got tattoos and they look terrible after all those years went by. I'll pass thanks….

I have one tattoo. Tattoos are body art, an alternative form of self-expression. Will it be sagging when I am old? Possibly. I have a feeling my saggy tattoo will be the least of my worries when old age kicks in. I've had my tat for 4 years now, and I admire it every single day.

I have also noticed that with me a good 8 can jump to a 9 if he has tats. #Truth

I don't have a tattoo, and have no need to get one. Tattoo's really don't make a person sexier. A person's attractiveness isn't dependent on ink. However, some people like to get tattoos cause they have some kind've hidden meaning. In my opinion I would just keep a journal with all that hidden meaning, but some people like tattoos. But don't feel bad or out of place for not having one.

Asked an older gentleman, a couple days ago when he'd burned his arm and back. Turns out it had once been a army tattoo or still was when he pulled the skin tight.
--pretty sure, tattoo removal will be huge in 20 years.

...what amazes me is all of the white trash you see sporting ink --and lots of it!-- while they talk on their iPhone, smoke like freight trains, and wait on their next government check to come.

I guess priorities are important. icon_rolleyes.gif

I'd rather have the money in savings and stocks, land, house and car.

It's like the Skeptical African meme said: "So you're telling me...you got the iPhone 5, but you complain there's no food in the fridge?!"

My boyfriend has no tattoos, and none of my past boyfriends have. As for myself, I have two and plan to get at least two more.

I have no desire to get a tattoo. I don't mind them on guys, and I think they can be hot, but they're not for me.
