A thread on ageism: Once u were young, one day u'll be old---we all have our day in the sun. Our turn to shine will soon be another's. Generation after generation, there are those that will stand out & those that will fade into oblivion. Such is life! Perusing pictures of handsome movie stars & blue boy magazines, AMG bodybuilders of yesteryear & present COLT & all the endless paraphernalia of images of gorgeous guys from the beginning of photography to now---where are they now? Interesting to see how they looked, their beauty captured in their prime to contrast with photos of them now. Always neat to see. We'll all grow old. Some will have the time of their lives! Hopefully all. But some not so much.....How do u feel about growing old? Do u take everyday as they come? Do u take preventive measures to stay as youthful looking for as long as u possibly can? Or do u just go with the flow, a proud wearer of every wrinkle well-earned? icon_smile.gif .....

This reminds me of a book I just read. "As the tide washed in, the Dutch Tulip Man faced the ocean: 'Conjoiner rejoinder poisoner concealer revealer. Look at it. Rising up, and rising down, taking everything with it.' 'What's that?' I asked. 'Water', the Dutchman said. 'Well, and time.'".
Growing old and fading into oblivion is inevitable. I intend to put on the best damn show before, however. icon_smile.gif

simonneversaid saidas long as you're beautiful inside figuratively and literally, that's all that matters. what point does it make to make to worry about your outsides when your insides are fucked up.

Yeah, tell that to the modeling agencies & advertising & media.....

So far I've had my day in the sun every decade except my thirties. I was working too many hours then. Yeah, I know...what a beaut!

and yet people's minds are being distorted so that more money could be extorted. i was telling this to my homeboy last night when we were coming from the gym. there's so much bullshit out there and it's sad seeing how so many people buy into it. in the gym, you have folks that are basically muscularly obese thinking that it's normal and healthy. then to see the trainers in the gym, promoting that shit too. i remember 2 years ago when this fitness trainer manager straight up tried to belittle me so i can sign my money away to him so i can look like the muscularly obese guys in the gym. that times folks trying to push this whole "you gotta look good", "your face has to look like the models that we put in the magazines", and all this terrible, poisonous, sickening bullshit that is out there. you can eating this shit up, you'll end up sick. it's not healthy.

honestly, just some honest feedback. you sound a bit too obsessed with appearance and looks. it's NOT healthy. it's having complete control over you instead of you controlling it. there's more to the world than looking pretty and shit.

I just created the thread, I don't necessarily condone the topic being discussed icon_smile.gif .....

Avoid the sun, facial massage, vitamin C cream, plenty of water and exercise, don't smoke, drink very seldom and only wine .... nothing like my youth though ... in my youth I tanned to burn, boozed it up every night and smoked often ... I changed my habits when I turn 30, because a figured out that, that is pretty much the turning age when your body can no longer recover from burning the candle at both ends
