Wow, this is pretty low if it ends up being true. Realizing that this guy is not guilty until proven, why do you think someone would do something like this and what should be the punishment?

Does anyone evaluate these guys for who they are rather than just how much money they can generate a team?

Not much disgusts me more than seeing something like this happen. And nothing will get me involved faster.

I still remember one of my most upsetting days ever in LA ... at La Cienega and Olympic about 3:00 or 3:30 in the afternoon, and on the sidewalk was an old man who looked homeless, bent over from whatever type of arthritis that causes extreme curvature of the spine. The guy was so bent over that his upper back was parallel to the sidewalk and in obvious pain and a bunch of high school kids were teasing him. So there I was with my car stopped in the middle of the street, out of the car and in a near fight with about ten of them. The fact that they were high school kids and likely not 18 wasn't lost on me. I wanted to beat those kids to near death.

At least he stopped short of setting the man on fire.

I think it's even worse that this guy is very much in the public eye and especially the eyes of younger people. Guys like this could make such a good impression on young people but a lapse in judgement can ruin it all. Role models are in such demand and leaving this as your legacy is such a shame.

It will be interesting to see what happens and how much more of the story unfolds. I'd sure like to hear the homeless man's story.
