I'm watching this movie "One Week" on netflix right now.

If you have been given up to 2 years left to live, what would you do? Would you go on living as you are? If not, what changes would you make?

    Things I would consider doing:

    - I would consider shutting down my business.
    - I would consider selling my home but maybe not....depends
    - I would go see my friends villa in the South of France. I would take some of my best friend's ashes and I would put some near where my friend's mom is buried on the property. We were supposed to go together but never made it. I would need to finish taking the rest of his ashes to other places as well. My friends took some of them to other places but there is a lot more to go. There are some in Hawaii, (Giant's Causeway) Northern Ireland, (Blarney Castle) Ireland, where I live, etc.
    - I would try and decrease the amount of stuff I have
    - I would update my will.
    - I would probably visit my friend in India
    - I would go to Thailand and go ride the elephants.
    - Probably would give even more hugs.

I'm a college student with NO money. I'd have no choice but to keep living life as I already am.

Usually these kind of questions the time you have is 6 months to a year

2 years though? At least by then I'll be out of my Verizon contract... hahahaha

I would just keep doing the same thing, but of course the last month I would sell everything I have, besides my car, iPhone and stuff like that and travel.

I said up to 2 years. It would not mean that you have 2 years. It could be any time between 1 day to 2 years. If you wait to the end of 2 years, you may not be able to do what you wanted to do.

It depends, if there's nothing I could do and if whatever I've to do had already accomplished it, then I don't need those 2 years. I'm okay to leave when the time is right.

I use to fear death before...but something happened to me, that I lost the fear of death. but the fear of pain? I think it still exist.

Not much different I think. I don't have money to do anything.

O yes, I would probably move back home and live with my family and work in the family business waiting for death to come.

I've actually had to think about this.

I would try to complete all the realistic things on my bucket list. (Yes I have one).

And when it is all over...I would go to a nice beach and stay there till I pass on.

I'd do what I currently do: learn as much as possible about as many things as possible and continue to eliminate two to three bucket lists items per year. Life is fragile and most don't get a diagnosis.

    I've been through this.

It's much easier being selfish when you're single and don't have other people to consider. I'm still waiting for my cancer cruise!

Useful tip: Don't spend down all your assets - they could be wrong.

"You've been given up to 2 more years to live...."

    More than what?

Since I was planning to live to 98 anyway and "up to 2 more years" puts me at about 100, I suppose I'd best get another career in gear. Cause that's another 44 years on top of my existing 56 and ya gotta fill in that time with something fun.

Now if I had only "up to 2 years to live" which by my read is not the thread's premise, then I'd probably just end it now. My family and friends always tell me how much they enjoy surprises. Surprise! I'm dead!

Hey, I am not going to give you a heads up just so you can put me 6 ft under.
