I just watched "The Quiet Earth", a New Zealand movie from 1985. Good movie, and for those attracted to older hunky men, they show the main character naked a few times. His name is Bruno Lawrence.

with out a doubt one of the most fucked up films I have ever seen in my life..is this
it has Johnathon Schaech who is freekingly hot or at least was
this is bizaare !A con artist escapes a deal gone wrong in New York and winds up in the Aussie outback in a strange town whose inhabitants are an oddball collection of misfits
look out for a cameo from Barry Humphries

For a lighter Aussie treat, try The Sum of Us, an early Russell Crowe film where he plays a young gay guy. (not ethnic, unless you consider austrailians to be ethnic).

Or, Rabbit-Proof Fence - definitely "ethnic" by anyone's definition, and not so happy.

Or, Head On, a very hot Alex Dimitriades having some hot sex. And he's ethinic (Greek).

If you bothered to at least glance the first video I posted you would realize that the movie is based on a Italian/ Australian girl, that suffers the cultural prejudice from Anglo-saxon Australia. Therefore its "ethnic" because the Italians and other cultures presented are part of an ethnic minority in Australia. But yes Rabbit Proof fence is a very good movie for one to understand some of the troubles that indigenous Australians suffered post colonialism of Australia.

Great movie, there arent that many ethnic Aussie films out there though. I usually watch SBS for the "real" Australia lol. Mainly they have TV shows and not too many feature movies. I would have thought that head on would have counted as its about a Greek gay guy coming to terms with his lot, even though its quite a hot movie from what i can remember
