    Yeaaaaaaa.....

Funny on the surface, but I think that there's too much of a social commentary there. My opinion it could have worked if the main characters were also gay, and all the zombies were Ambercrombie and Fitch wearing gay zombies.

Well then there would still have been a lot of social commentary just concerning a more select group.

I just thought it was fun, no need to get too PC.

I'm pretty incorrect politically most of the time, but depicting homosexuality as a plague of zombies, with straight guys fleeing in terror and cringing with fear that the gay zombie hordes are going to infect them, really does play up the homophobia angle.

Here is why I disagree. Zombies are frightening and awesome (in both senses of the word) because they are the embodiment of the terrible reality we all face. Each and every one of us will die and will become the zombie who is about to eat our moist, juicy brains. We become the zombie. The zombie lives inside of us, and we must merely die to awaken it.

Recall that beautiful scene at the end of Romero's Night of the Living Dead where Barbara is pulled into the horde of zombies by her dead brother. The zombie, like death, spares no one and has no mercy. The only thing moving the zombie forward is grim inevitability of our own mortality.

In much the same way, all straight people have a homosexual lurking inside of them, and but a taste of cock will make them one of us. Death, like hot man on man sex, waits only for the inevitable moment of surrender.
