These are the freaks who decide what we get on "the news" these days!

ABC News editor Don Ennis strolled into the newsroom in May wearing a little black dress and an auburn wig and announced he was transgender and splitting from his wife. He wanted to be called Dawn.

But now he says he suffered from a two-day bout of amnesia that has made him realize he wants to live his life again as Don.

"I accused my wife of playing some kind of cruel joke, dressing me up in a wig and bra and making fake ID’s with the name 'Dawn' on it. Seriously," Ennis wrote in a memo he posted to the newsroom bulletin board Friday, explaining his shock after he woke up from what he called a "transient global amnesia" last month.

I don't trust anything I read in the New York post - it's like the National Enquirer.

People have dissociative/psychogenic fugues -- basically, reversible bouts of amnesia. They're rare, but they do happen.

I don't care either what he is doing in his personal life, but I bolded the part that I found disturbing which is that he went ahead and posted a memo about this on the newsroom bulletin board. I think that shows a real lack of judgment on his part and he is supposedly supposed to have a finely honed abundance of good judgment based on his job / position.

Then you are missing out on news that the other newspapers won't print because it doesn't fit their political and social ideology. To make a blanket statement like "I don't trust anything I read in the (fill in the blank)" and to actually operate under this assumption is rather close minded. If you had read the actual article or even the part I posted you would have read the actual content of the memo he posted on the newsroom bulletin board.

I re-read the article and you have to be frankly lying to think NYPost doesn't have an agenda. Which seems like transphobia in this one.
Secondly, I would blame the mother and her greed for her son's problems.
The article also didn't specify how long he was in this condition for.......

Bad reading comprehension skills. Where did I say that the NY Post didn't have an agenda? Secondly, why would you want to "blame" anyone? Who's asking for someone to be blamed? What impact does your "blame" have on this person?
The article also DID specify how long he was in this condition for.

Aside from you seeing statements made by me that I never made and you not being able to understand the content of the article when it plainly stated how long he was "in this condition" - I think you're right on top of the story. Great, sharp mind you've got there.

Considering how upset so many RJers are about Beyoncé's haircut, I'd take anything people have to say about others with a grain of salt.

    What, you don't like tomatoes?

JK, but, seriously, most transgender people are as secure in their T as you are in your G.icon_wink.gif

I meant a flannel shirt, not days and days of ball gown!
