Is it okay to have sex with your friends?

In this ever changing social climate, sex is treated as casually as ever, I have slept with a good number of my gay friends and it hasnt affected our friendship in the slightest, and a few times it became like a hobby we shared and I honestly want most of my friends but am not romantically attracted to them, just platonic emotionally and sexually.

Can this attitude work? any of you the same attitude?

    No, I don't think it'll work!
I think it's the exact opposite.

FWB - sounds like it's working for you. As long as there's an understanding that it's just sex, then what's the problem?

It wouldn't have worked for me, and I treated sex extremely casually.

it's ok, but only if i am your friend! seriously, this is youthful fun. be safe, be clear as to intentions and no one gets hurt, but it will seem empty in retrospect when you find a real partner

You already answered your own question.

It's all relative. This can work for some people and it can be disastrous for others. Sounds like you're doing okay.

Also, each individual friendship is unique, so it will always vary from person to person.

Everyone's different.. I dont have a whole lot of gay friends, so I dont hook up with the ones I have at risk of ruining that friendship. I also think it would just be weird, I hook up with my girl friends more often and think its less weird. So for me, no I cant have a FWB. Rare circumstances have happened though..

I love having sex with my friends. They are my friends, it's something we both enjoy and we trust and respect each other.

by definition, I always have sex with my friends, but that is because I don't have sex with someone unless we are friends too. that does not mean i have sex with ALL of my friends.icon_lol.gif.
