This is a spin off of the Favorite cars thread since that one seems to be mutating into "What car do you currently drive?"

So check out gaywheels.com's Top 10 Most Researched Vehicles. Is your vehicle on the list? Also up for discussion: What cars would you have thought to see on the list but didn't make it? :)

I confess I own the #1 spot: Toyota Yaris, liftback(3 door) 5 speed manual, black. I'm in love with it, but would never have guessed it to be that high on the list. *shrug*

I would have thought ford focus would have been on the list and acura TL. Camry is a bit misleading since its on the top ten list for almost any demographic.

Hmmmm... Alot of my gay friends have the Jetta.. I opted for the Passat 6-cyl. instead cause I like to have lots of room and plenty of pickup. But I got a wagon model... which is extremely gay... right?

    This is off topic.

I am not a lover of car. But I am fanatic about motorcycle. Give me a Harley Davidson. Freedom of Harley in Black Leather. King of the Road. That homosexual lifestyle at its best.

Be careful, Z. One of my favorite lines from Don Winslow's "The Death and Life of Bobby Z," goes something like:

"After all, what's one more dead scumbag? The cops were reluctant to get involved in the blood feud between the biker gangs and the fags, because then they would be faced with two insurmountable problems: 1) How to tell them apart, and 2) Who to root for."

I'm too lazy to look up the exact quote right now. However, I understand that a movie has now been made from this book, starring Paul Walker (rowr!) and Laurence Fishbourne. Apparently it hasn't yet been released in the US.

Kudos to you Cacti for driving something environmentally friendly and practical. I can't afford a new car but mine is small and practical as well and gets me where I need to go. We as leaders of all things cutting edge should take the lead in driving more environmentally friendly cars. I mean, how many of you who drive a big honking V8 (or more), 4 wheel drive SUV, EVER haul any thing or have anyone other than yourselves in it on a regular basis. GO GREEN!

Rugger, I howled when I saw your post. Is that really your car? I get a kick out of the rugger (rugby, rugged) and the pink convertible thing. I hope it IS your car. That would be the best.

And Matt...geez, if I'd known you drove a Subaru Outback, I would have hit on you sooner. Wait a minute, does that make me a lesbian too??? (I actually owned one so I must be.)

Mindgarden, glad to find another soul in love with Paul Walker. That man....I just get sort of stupid and mute everytime I see him. I don't know what it is. I would watch him paint railings or mow grass and still be in awe. He was great in "8 Below" - the movie about him and his sled dogs.

ShortnSexy (ummm, yes you really are), not sure if you have seen these articles but some economists have been running the numbers and finding that the cradle to grave environmental footprint of a Prius is actually WORSE than a Hummer!!! Because a Hummer will last for something like 15 years. And a Prius is filled with 1500 pounds of lead-acid batteries and will probably only run for 8 years (not sure of the two lengths of time but the Hummer was estimated to last longer by a large spread). Of course, this is counter-intuitive and causes grief to the "keep the message simple" green crowd. I am a card-carrying eco-social-capitalist by the way and am involved in sustainability so I definitely support doing the right thing. But sometimes doing the right thing is not the obvious thing. Unfortunately it makes our buying decisions even harder!

Thanks for starting the thread Cacti. Good for humour and for getting to know more of you.

Oh, and I drive a Subaru Outback, a Toyota Tacoma, a Mazda 3, a Mini, a BMW, and a Jetta - I use the ZipCar service in my city so I can use whatever car I feel like using at the time. It's cheap, I get to drive lots of different cars, and I don't have to carry the lease all the time so it costs me about $150K/mo all in. If anybody lives in a dense urban center, I recommend looking at them.

    zakariahzol -

I love Bikes too: I collect them, I have 16 currently from an historic 1940 Crocker, several BSA's, a Panthe, an original Indian, a couple of Harley's (incl a Softail Heritage Classic), BMW's, two Triumphs and a Ducati.

I have a Nissan Pathfinder, pearl white. Its not really gay, but definitly looks like a womans car. I really want an LR3 though, I like the enviroment, but I dont feel like sacraficing my vehicle choice to support it. Support can be done in other ways. And on the comment on gayest car, I would have to say Subaru, and also Land Rover. I saw what I assumed to be a young gay couple in a silver LR2 and I was like omg that really fits them perfectly.

Malibu's are so gay. Ironically I have one and hate it. I am getting the infiniti G37 once I'm back in country.
