In another thread, a fellow RJer had mentioned how self esteem really shines through from you to the outside world, the vibes you are giving off.
It made me think of the time a few years ago I finally quit a job I totally disliked. When I walked out of that office on the last day I met a friend for dinner and was getting cruised by a number of cute guys, which usually doesn't happen to me anymore. My friend and I were walking past a store and this young cute sales guy literally runs down the street and comes up to talk to me. It was a really bizarre evening but in a good way.
My friend said I was giving out so much positive energy because I was so happy it was making everyone else take notice.
It was that evening that I realized positive thoughts and energy really do make a difference.

    Yes, positive vibes are everything.

Someone posted an article about the law of attraction a few weeks ago which goes more in depth on this topic. I want to re-emphasize what a good article this is. I even shared it on Facebook, so I will re-post here for anyone who wants to check it out. It's even more of a must-read for anyone who is unhappy, as I think mastering this concept is the only way you can turn your life around.

Positivity is attractive. When I'm in a good mood, people are friendlier, and thus, apt to see something in me that they like.

It's hard to give off good vibes when you are stuck in a work environment where people hate you and misunderstand you and never check shit out with you. Especially when they are all women.

Thank you for your posting, this is my favorite line because it is so true!
The problem that many people run into is that they "pretend" to be positive on the outside but are really vibrating negativity on the inside. They might not even be aware of what it is that they are doing.

Russians are negative but less depressed than Americans.

QUOTE AUTHOR GOES HERE"Russians focus more on their negative feelings than Americans do," Grossmann explained, "but they spontaneously distance themselves from their emotions to a greater extent than Americans, who tend to immerse themselves in their recalled experiences.

"The first study focused on 168 Russian and American students who underwent testing to measure their degree of brooding and depressive symptoms. While the Russians were found to brood more, they also displayed fewer indicators of depression than their American counterparts.

The second study involved 162 students who were measured for distress after being asked to remember and discuss a not-too-distant unpleasant memory involving themselves and another individual."

Being negative doesn't necessarily equal to unhappiness and sadness. I do the same thing as Russians and I relate to them.
