Moving to the middle east has made me think about the number of guys here who wear very sexy undershirts. In europe we call them vests, americans call them tanks. beaters etc. I love guys in tanks/ vests ie sleeveless style. What do you wear ?? 99% of guys here seem to wear tanks. Look so good under a white shirt.icon_biggrin.gif

T shirt unless I'm working out. I'm more comfortable working out in a a tank top.

In a business environment, I would never wear an A-shirt (tank top like undershirt) under a white shirt. ...only a white T-shirt style undershirt to have a solid white appearance under the shirt.

I'll do all of them; Wife-Beaters/Tanks, V-Necks and traditional undershirts, just depends on what I'm wearing over them and such....

I never wear t-shirts under other shirts (e.g. dress shirts). I have a tendency to feel too warm most of the time. When I am going out to do shopping or just relaxing at home I wear a t-shirt (usually Jim or Calvin Klein). When I work out I wear a underarmour, nike or adidas athletic shirt. Underarmour is especially comfortable.

Singlet?!?! Do people wear these casually? I thought they were really only for strength-oriented activities like wrestling/powerlifting/shotput etc.

From wiki: "A-shirt: Short for "athletic shirt" because it is often worn in sports, such as basketball and track-and-field events. Also known as a wife beater, Guinea tee, or (in British English usage) a vest, or in Scots as a semmit, as a singlet in Australia, an A-shirt is usually worn as an undershirt"

Just a different term for the same thing (tank top if you ask me). Oh yeah, and that's what I wear.

I very rarely wear suits or dress shirts but when I do, no shirt on underneath as I would get too warm. Mu everyday "uniform" is a vneck or regular T-shirt, shorts or jeans and a sweater or sweat shirt over that in the cold.

When working out, or playing volleyball, shorts with UnderArmour underwear and a vneck or tank top shirt.

I wear my singlet under my work shirts and daily, that way I can just strip off the top if I need to.

I like wearing a vest or tank for a top when the weather is hot. A V-neck casual top for the rest of the year. I only wear a dress shirt for special occasions.

I wear a t-shirt under dress shirts most of the time. They help the dress shirt from bunching up and wrinkling and they keep stains from the pits off a nice shirt (tanks can't do that).

    We call wifebeaters, 'sleeveless shirts'.

T-shirt kinda guy here, and don't normally wear dress shirts. Climate's too hot here for them, let alone with undershirts. So no undershirts usually when I'm absolutely required to wear dress shirts/polos, rarely a beater underneath when it's chilly.

Sorry to be reply so late, but I just found this discussion. I always wear a sleeveless undershirt (wifebeater) under my dress or casual shirts. I would never consider not wearing one. Also, I do find a guy wearing one to be extremely sexy.icon_biggrin.gif

I tend to layer, so my answer would be both tanks and t-shirts... In the summer and when working out I do prefer a tank top / wife beaters... LOL!!!

wife beater for me under a tshirt if I'm out in public.

I sweat like a pig so it sorta helps stop me needing to wring out my tshirt for a little while!

Second I walk in that door though, it's wife beater only!
