I don't know why I like this shot I took today. Maybe you can write a poem for it.

    Leaf blight leaf blight
    There you be,
    On the leaves
    Of that poor tree

That'll be 10 cents commission on every copy thanks. icon_biggrin.gif

    Clever. icon_wink.gif
Maybe throw in "shadow and light" to rhyme with "blight."

    I remember leaves
    There were good to me
    They made good toilet paper
Without leaves, my bottom could never be clean

    All that lives,
    That is alive today,
    Will wilt and die,
    We'll all decay away.

You people are fucking impossible to please. Because I was gonna do a rhymer, something about turning over a new leaf, smoking pot and liver spots but then calibro would have complained that my poem rhymed. I don't know how to please you young people any more. Used to be a blow job would do it. But noooo, now that has to include career advancement or something complicated and time consuming. Ya'all are exhausting.

There once was a wrestler named Vic.
He showed us a forest themed pic.
    Though the plants looked outrageous,
    They seemed quite contagious.
Watch out or you're gona be sick!

    Revealed in light,
    Defaced by blight.
    Does Nature’s eye,
    Abhor the sight?

(Rhymed & metered like English 101)

Ah, a cute limerick, I love those (outrageous & contagious are inspired). But 5 lines, not 4 as Vic specifies.

There once were some leaves in the forest,
That never would rate with a florist.
    But Vic took a click,
    And asked us to pick,
The words that would sound just the dearest.

What leaf stands with trees so old
for no man dared to cut it down
    whose lives could be foretold
at the abandoned lots of this town

For man who fought wars they waged
Their ill blood seeped into the ground
yet even when their fouled voices raged
these leafs just stood silently around

As they hid in the dark shadows within
the wild ones are still dwelling now
who none would thus commit a sin
or even know the reason as to how

So ghostly as sentinels they stand
reaching up to the old golden suns
as their roots clings to the land
whereby a quiet stream still runs

Their secrets kept will not be told
for in this forests ancient land
where many may die, they grew bold
their wise souls live deep in the sand

Gorgeous, dear Leandro. But you know that Vic specified 4 lines? Still, a lovely contribution I enjoyed reading. icon_biggrin.gif

Sometimes in life you gravitate hard,
Toward things that catch the eye,
For its the wilted and worn that make the world turn,
So find beauty in what lies inside.

    We're all a little different
Even though we're from the same tree
I may have some large black spots
But there's more to me than what you can see.

Than you my dear friend! your kind words inspired
in me a few lines just for you!

Your words are like signs at the Waldorf
where they are whispered to the guy who
greets you at the door. Your words resonates
like a prayer to the poet in me, as you
walk into the entrance of my inspirations
    at its altar!!

    Thank you my dear friend!!

In my neverending quest for wrestlervic's validation I submit this second entry:

    The leaves are beaten
    down to size
    and mottled by
    the photog's thighs.
