Star Wars, the throne room and medal ceremony from the original. With the trilogy and subsequent movies this actually became Episode IV: A New Hope. I love the pomp and circumstance of the medal ceremony. God, Mark Hamill was cute! And Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher look so young.

Les Miserables. It's sad but also ends with hope for a brighter future. And a wonderful, inspiring song.

Lost in Translation. The famous open-to-interpretion 'whisper scene' followed up by the awesome The Jesus and Mary Chain track 'just like honey'.

In the final scenes of the classic film "An Affair to Remember" Deborah Kerr plays a crippled nightclub singer hiding her infirmity to former flame Cary Grant's playboy artist. When he discovers her secret and pledges his eternal love regardless I'm probably the only person on the planet who gets how unintentionally hilarious her closing line to him is, and how "If you can paint, I can walk!" spoils what might otherwise have been one of the most heartwrenching romantic finales in cinematic history.

Children of Men, Madeo, Memories of Murder, Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father, and Sunshine are among some of the movies with the ending that I really enjoyed. Children of Men, in particular, gets me teared up within last 5-10 minutes of the movie every time I watch it. I won't post any clips here for these movies; it would not do justice to just watch the ending without seeing the whole thing.

Best Films ending, I like war, tragic, romance, survival, dramatic films like A lot!!!

    Brokeback Mountain
    The Wedding Banquet
    Life of Pi
    Amelie
    Russian Dolls
    Titanic
    7 Years in Tibet
    Departures (Japanese film)
    The Pianist
    Lust Caution
(if you notice, I am an Ang Lee's fans)

Best TV show ending: Queer as Folk (US), when Brian re-opens Babylon and a new gay *kid enters the scene, very symbolic. I just love this scene, reminds me of myself when I first enter the gay scene/out when I was 21 in San francisco.
