    I'll start:

    TOS: Spock

    TNG: Data

    DS9: Garak

    Voyager: 7 of 9

Enterprise: Ha. No, seriously, if you watched this, knock yourself out.

    - McCoy

    - Picard

    - I didn't like DS9. Couldn't make it through the first season.

    - Tough one. I liked all of them really. But if I had to choose. Janeway. She kicks ass.

    - Enterprise sucked. Stopped watching after the first episode. Also, bad casting. All through the show, I thought I was watching an episode of Quantum Leap.

Original Series: VERY DIFFICULT CHOICE - Captain Kirk (with Nurse Chappel as a second).

The Next Generation: Captain Picard (with Lwaxana Troi as a second).

Side note: you can see Majel Barrett is a fav, not only the result of having met her and Gene Roddenberry, but also her edge-of-camp screen presence.

Deep Space 9: Tie between Captain Sisko and Commander Worf.

Voyager: Captain Janeway (what a broad!), head and shoulders above all others, though Neelix was hot.

Enterprise: OMG what a dog. Watched it once or twice, struggling to keep in it. Commander Trip or Tucker or something would be the choice, but purely due to aesthetics.

Oh I just couldn't stand Sisko. And turns out he's nuttier than a squirrel's turd IRL.

I know what I'm getting him for Christmas - ten rolls of rubber wall paper and a double-lobotomy.

Janeway got better over time, but the voice. Oh my God the voice. Make it stop.

McCoy was amazing, true. So was Scotty. Kirk was ... hilarious.

Haven't seen the original, and forgot Deep Space Nine and Enterprise.

    Next Generation: Deanna Troi

Voyager: Seven of Nine or The Doctor

    TOS: Spock

    NG: Worf

    DS9: Worf.
(To the nay-sayers, the last two seasons are worth the growing pains of the first three seasons. I even stopped watching for a year midway through season 3 because i was so board. But then it turns around by late season 4. The characters become well-developed and more interesting. Trills and Klingons take on depth and intrigue unlike anthing before. Some of the writing is just excellent. Great new characters are introduced.)

    Voyager: Janeway
I like her because she's crazy like Kirk.

    Enterprise: Shirtless Trip.
Have only seen a handful of episodes. Can't say I'm looking forward to the rest

Oh God, I remember the softcore porn episode of Enteprise (that was pretty much my line in the sand). "Yeah, we have this, umm, medicine. And it requires blacklights and sensual application. Go."

I'd have to pick Diana Troy for TNG.

Here is why Garak was the best character, possibly in any series:

And let's not forget that he saved the Alpha Quadrant:

I agree with everyone for the most part, but I thought Sisko was a turd, I liked Dax waaaay better, even Kira. For Voyager it's a tie between 7 of 9 and Janeway. I actually did watch Enterprise and I thought T'Pol was the coolest; I loved watching her character develop and learn to admire humans.

Avery Brooks as Hawk in Spenser was probably why he was a fav in DS9. What a MAN!

And you don't like Kate Mulgrew's mix of Lauren Bacall and Katherine Hepburn voice? Or, as an authorized biographer wrote on her website, her "husky, resonant voice"? What you may not know is that she was turned down for that role first, and, just as she was about to file for bankruptcy in the wake of her divorce from her first (?) husband, Genevieve Bujold walked out of Voyager after day two of filming. They went into crisis and began re-auditioning, and Kate Mulgrew wasn't to proud to re-audition.... and she got the part and played the hell out of it. Can you tell we like her? She is a close family friend, but we like her acting, too. Watch Throw Mama From The Train and then see if you think she's just a magnificent act to watch!

And THIS is exactly why we remember him from Enterprise. That's the only memorable aspect of that bomb.
    Nivek saidEnterprise: Shirtless Trip.

She was fine once she toned it down a hair. But in the beginning she was such a command dominatrix all the time it just grated. I grew to like her a lot more as the series went on.

It's funny. Kathy will be the first to say that it was a rough first season. They went into production writing the character for Genevieve Bujold, and one of the producers said she was Like a "female Charles DeGaulle" (referring to Bujold), that self-important officious prick - OY! Kathy gradually made it her own part, and thank God they allowed her to do that.

    Dr McCoy

    Data

    Jadzia Dax

    Cpt Janeway

    Trip

While Enterprise wasn't the best in the series , I still appreciated what it had to offer. I blame the producer and the writers who didn't adere to the finer details.

    Lots of mine are ties.

TOS: Sulu (of course!) and Uhura

TNG: Guinan/Troi/Worf…Data a close second…Ensign Ro gets an honorable mention. Q was also kind of cool.

    DS9: Didn’t watch

    VoY: Tuvok/Kes/Doctor

    ENT: Didn’t watch.

    TOS: Kirk

    TNG: Lwaxana Troi

DS9 (the best of the non-TOS series): Elim Garak

    Voyager: Seven of 9/Annika

    Enterprise: Charles 'Trip' Tucker
