I just seen an article on how a 14 year old in the USA, was to wear to school, a T-shirt that read McCain's Girl, and she kept a dairy of the reactions she got. She got abused and threatened. You have lost your brain, you should be crucified.

Then The Next day she was to wear a T-Shirt that read : Obama's Girl. Then she was told she had gotten her brain back, and received no abuse.

Then a teacher informed them it was an experiment.

She found it intriguing that so many who voted for Obama, because they felt he stood for equality. Yet they were the ones who discriminated the most!

You could look at passed threads here, and find the same correlation.

I was abused and subjected to hate, because I took the side of the Republicans here, purley because they were the under dogs. Yet I will be so pleased to see him in the White House. I feel this is a big step forward for America.

Yet I sit on the fence politically.

Its always been human nature for the abused to become the abusers. So what?

Kind of a typical human flaw I'd guess. I've seen it in myself and do try to fight it when I realize I'm doing it.

Well, that may be the case but I can assure that also the opposite happened. Someone being pro-Obama that was bashed by the McCain supporters. It goes both ways but one thing that I've found is that many if not most republicans are more vicious and resort to ad hominem attacks if they can't defend their point of view. I am sure there are democrats that are the same way but based on what I've read online (regular websites) and seen around here (I live in the south) the reps can be way worse. I'm not justifying what they did to that girl, just speaking from the other side of the fence.
