Whether it is text message email or an instant message conversations become lackluster.Whether I'm talking to my best friend or someone I have feelings for I would rather see that person and talk to them rather message them thoughts?

I dislike talking on the phone, texting, IM, etc. Prefer to meet up in person, and just hang out for a while.

Same here. That's why I prefer to meet in real and talk.

Doesn't bore me now-- it has always bored me! I like to hear a voice, much less misinterpretedicon_idea.gif

ALWAYS prefer talking for anything: emotionally, or legally important or conversations longer than two sentences.

Prefer texting for QUICK and LIMITED information and responses. If it goes more than 3 sentences, pick up the god damn phone IF it's an option. Else, send a fucking email or set up a time to talk later. Annoying.

I've felt this way since I saw my first text message. It's outdated technology. I would rather press a button and hear my friend's voice so I can hear the emotion in their voice. It's the next best thing to being in person.

I've also noticed that the people who are opposed to phone conversations are also the ones with social phobias and intimacy issues. Texting allows them limited communication without truly getting involved too deeply. It's so easy for them to simply ignore a text message. How many thread have you seen here where some sad chap has just been dumped via text message...."he just stopped responding to my texts"

I pretty much stopped responding to most emails/messages a couple years ago (from new people anyway). I'd get them and I'd just suddenly have no interest to reply or interact. I really used to love it when I was younger though. Now I just don't give a shit.

I was done a long time ago, but feel forced into now. I am from a generation of face to face conversations and interacting. . Unfortunately many are incapable of that now.

    Fracking hate it
and if you want to throw me into a rage: text me multiple times in a row, then when I call you, because I don't have time to answer each of them, let that call go to voice mail--see if I ever talk to you again.
