No she is copying French/German clown dolls, this look of hers has nothing to do with Madonna. As for music wise I like both of them .

Really, she's cribbed a lot from multiple artists: David Bowie, Elton John, Devo, Grace Jones, Gary Glitter, The New York Dolls, Boy George, Marilyn Manson, Dead or Alive, Bette Midler, Amanda Lear, and Company B (check out their video for "Fascinated").

By far, the most egregious examples of her knock-offery are Bjork (who was a legitimate theatrical weirdie), Liquid Sky's Anne Carlisle (playing dual male/female roles), Goldfrapp (doing the electro house thing much longer with less fanfare), Dale Bozzio of Missing Persons, Terri Nunn of Berlin (one of the great unheralded singers of all-time), and fucking Jem.

She is copying Madonna. She's singing in the style of 80's David Bowie. And the way she's releasing her album is exactly the way Bjork did it. There's nothing original about her. And she's also stooping to a new low to get more purchases of her new single.

    She tried doing this:

    But instead, this happened:

From Liquid Sky, which she's apparently been mainlining:

"All your costumes are just participation in some kind of phoney theater. I'm only telling you this for your own good. It's a freak show."

Annie Lennox, who even beat Madonna to the title "Who's That Girl?":

Whatever, I just hope the video isn't some 9 minute illuminati ritual with her in hideous depressed-clown makeup in her undies writhing like she's having a seizure.

I'm on Team Madge forever, but this is a stretch. The songs sound nothing alike: Girl Gone Wild is way better.

I totally agree with you on this GGW was highly under rated and received little attention from radio because of her age.
