Named the Woodward Dream Cruise 2013. Another one is in the bag for 19 consecutive years.

btn_geturs.gifscotth3886's Woodward Dream Cruise 2013 album on Photobucket

Sheriff says 1.3 million there on Saturday plus however many were there during the weekdays nights. One of the safest celebrations in addition to the largest car events in the world. Two arrest for disorderly conduct with 1.3 million people present is pretty good by Detroit standards.

The weather was picture perfect with low humidity and low to mid 70s. And speaking of pictures .... I took 579 of them. it took me a while to upload into photobucket after doing some light editing such as cropping and leveling. Damn I can't seem to hold my camera level.

Got to be the happiest event there is.

There are a 'couple' of pics that epitomize the people part of the event. After all, it is about the people, and nicer bunch would be impossible to find.

    Gaiety was everywhere!

I did notice a couple of homosexuals in the crowd, but there were a million and a half folks there so there had to be one or two ... one would think.

And amazing the number of C7s that I saw without MI manufactures' plates.

Woodward had to be the happiest place on the planet on this lovely Saturday.

And at Bob's in Toluca Lake, there was sort of a pecking order to the parking, and I was there so often that I had one side or the other of the walk up window. Everyone knew that was my space!

    However, nothing remotely approaches Woodward.

I know him and have for decades, but I don't much care for his work. His son is a fellow sister, btw. Nor do I care for Autorama. I like stone stock and nothing beats Detroit's Woodward for that. For the Western USA, a very distant second would be Hot August Nights.

That being said, once my mother is gone and we get the house sold, I'm coming back out to LA.

And for a little contrast to the Friday night, after Bob's I'd go down the 101 to Highland and to Santa Monica then park where it was nice and secure in the PDC and then Mickey's or Rage.

Then Saturday morning at Donut Derelicts at Adams and Magnolia by 6:00 AM then to Cars and Coffee Irvine and then Crystal Cove
