Forever 21 = Forever 29.5? Unintended Consequences of Obamacare?

I don't understand Obamacare completely and don't pretend to. But I do know that you're not eligible for it if you work <30 hours/week. This is only one sample, but it certainly proves that it can happen. (This is a leaked memo....) Rather than debate the issue, I'm wondering if anyone else has any specific examples of this happening. Forever%2021.jpg

I do not know of specific examples but along these lines I can say how friends in the business world see the next few years. At the top of the list is an effort to abstract large business entities into multiple smaller ones where the numbers give the employer an advantage, e.g. less than 50 employees I think is the number. Secondly, an effort is underway at many businesses to replace full-time employees with several part-time folks working less than 20 hours per week.

I do not know that this is a negative for liberal supporters of Obamacare. After all, the above path will lead to the single payer system in my view. At some point the tax code, i.e. the funding of Obamacare, will have to be reworked to support the cost placed on government. Unfortunately buesiness will not see that cost pulled from their tax bill, after all, that's how facist Germany worked, i.e. the German government didn't own business it just told them what to do. ;-) In that sense Obama is far more of a Facist than he is a Communist.

    Heil Obama.

Unfortunately, (but as predicted) it is happening nationwide. And of course, premiums for individual insurance polices continue to increase drastically. Obamacare was really never about healthcare, but about health insurance. It';s rumored that the OP has a much better system in Canada.

Lol that was an internal memo leaked from Forever 21 and the UPS bit was straight from the horse's mouth. Any opinions being asserted here either seem to be supported by the evidence being presented, or are open ended. It seems more likely that we're drinking Evian than Kool-Aid.

Healthcare for me transitions to my only option on Jan1: high deductible. Thankfully, I'm almost in the best shape of my life.

In my case, I feel like my healthcare costs will be out of pocket, which discourages making appointments unless I'm miserable. Starting to fear what will happen to my favorite doctors.

Curious what plan changes everyone else is seeing?
