    Hey, guys -

Does anyone use any fitness or fitness-related apps for the iPhone?

I've recently started using "Alpha Trainer," but the workouts start out way too intense, even for goals of just getting toned with small/moderate gains.

I also purchased 5k Runner. I really enjoy it, and the fact that I purchased it keeps me running because otherwise I'll feel like I've wasted money. Lol.

I love "Heart Rate." It keeps track of your heart rate based on a reading from your camera w/flash, so you can avg your resting heart rate and high intensity heart rate during various periods of the day/your workout.

"Nike Training." Lots of good routines, varying lengths and goals, totally integrated with your music, has time out demonstrations of the exercises it's telling you to do. Really a good app.

Almost all fitness apps for smartphones (iPhone included) are going to have pro's rocking the leaderboards. Get better and you'll be in the top ten. icon_biggrin.gif

BTW, I use Strava (.com) for mountain biking, and finally placed 7th on the leaderboard on a popular trail section (last week). It felt awesome!

I think the best one according to me is Fitness buddy. It has a free and a paid version. It has exercises by muscle groups and also has animations of how to do the exercise. It also has some great workouts for beginner, advanced, expert...worth a download...

I've been using Full Fitness for years... still think it's (overall) the best/cleanest designed app for tracking workouts out there. Certain things could be improved, but most apps that I've seen look cluttered, clunky, or don't have the simplicity and flexibility for tracking that this one has.

    Now ON SALE for $1.99(!)

I tried using FitnessPal before but I keep forgetting to log in to record my progress. I eventually deleted it, I had no use for it.

Same here! It's almost like those game apps that tell you to come back the next day for a new challenge. Ain't nobody got time for that!
