    SHAMELESS SPELL DAMAGE POST

    SD.jpg

WotLK is good so far. Borean Tundra is terribly large; whereas Howling Fjord is nice and tight.

The instances work out great at 80 since they are so short. OMG it is great to have that. Nonetheless, as you level, you want instances to be longer since the xp is better.

Also, I am dying for 77

The 2300 PM I actually respect as it shows talent. S2 and S3 2s I was 1900, dinged 2k with mage mage in S2. PMR in S3 and facerolled to 2050.

S4 ran away from completely because of World of Meleecraft and Sunwell ate me alive.

I've got a couple of questions for you WoW experts:

    1. I've got a level 53 warrior. I want to keep leveling him up and get to Northrend, but it's frustrating. It seems impossible on my server to find a group! Groups going to Sunken Temple (for instance) are so rare, and half the time all they want is a healer. I had thought there would be demand for tanks as well, since there used to be, but I fear that with the Death Knights there is now a glut of melee/tank characters. And leveling solo is worse -- ganking city. Do you think there's any sort of future for warriors now, or should I give up and play my druid (also level 53 but I'm far less interested in him)?

    2. If I have a higher-level friend who wants to help me level, which is better: being in a party together, or working together but NOT grouped? Meaning, does his higher level offset my EXP reward from killing mobs in both cases, or only if we are grouped?

    Thanks!

Rota - it really depends on the server population. I stopped playing my 70 holy pally because there are just so many healers on Area 52, but every raid wants a shadow priest for mana regen which is why he's my main (also super easy to level with spirit tap). Tanks, on the other hand, are pretty hard to come by. If nobody is LFG Sunken Temple, it's not because they don't need tanks.. it's because nobody wants to do ST. I would suggest going fury, leveling with quests until you get to a point where people are LFG for the instances you want.

Rota, i've leveled over 8 characters to 60 and 70, instances are there for fun and gear. If you really want to hit the top level as fast as possible, it's through quests and grinding. Doing one instance run can maybe take away a grinding session, but that's about it. Now that the buff to leveling happened, just level your way through the 50's and don't waste time trying to get groups.

For your 2nd question, alot of times people would have a 70 rush them through an instance for the fast XP of the instance, depending on the class, your group members level, and what instance it is...this works, but not for a level 53. You're stuck right now...Go through WPL, EPL, Winterspring, Felwood, those 4 alone should hit you to 58 or so. If not, add in Un'goro (if you haven't already) and Silithus.
    gluck!

Hahah Okay, I realize that druids in the 2300 isn't rare obviously, but at least I didn't do it with a cliche comp. I did it with druid/warlock. icon_smile.gif

PMR, is the only 3s where a priest can actually shine...So I'm not sure what you expect from me there, haha.

Priest Mage was the funnest thing I've EVER played.

    we should play together.

Arena enhanced WoW! But basically...meleecraft, sucks.

O come on. Seriously look at the following:

Fully decked out Sunwell Gear? check!
Rush to 80 or near it (yes they had people 78 and 79 in the raid)? check!
Practice for MONTHS (at least 3) on Beta working out strats in the same gear? check!
    Blame casuals? check!

I can't believe they had the audacity to complain. They beat the game on beta, they knew what was coming, I don't understand how this could be so surprising.

I have 8 manned pre 3.0 ZA. Why? Because we were all in T6 Sunwell epics, we knew the fights, and we took an extra consumable to make up for the 2 players.

I am really upset not at Blizzard but at TwentyFifthofNovember for thinking they deserve impossible instances. Honestly, think of it this way. You play Karazhan for 3 months on Beta and have gotten it all down, then it goes live, you beat and you f*cking QQ because it was too easy?

    WHAT!!!?

p.s. the gear level gap between Naxx 1.0 and level 70 heroics was HUGE. Thus there were cockblock of fights like Moroes, Maiden, and Curator which were gear dependant fights.

Blizzard has officially said that Sunwell was 1.) too hard and 2.) the gear was too good.

It is obvious that the dps requirements in Naxx and Malygos are not that high (see Brutallus pre-nerf) since the gap between Sunwell to level 80 heroics isn't that big. The only thing that increases for most classes are stats and weapon dmg. Look at the gear.

Ugh, it ruined the game for a lot of people. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but the entire PvE and PvP content of the game now functions on diminishing returns and how abilities work in Arena. That isn't right...at all. Even Chilton said he didn't expect Arena to be so popular nor to have changed the game completely...it did.

Ugh I know but something about ret pally just seems intrinsically wrong to me. Pallys were originally designed as defensive support, so it's hard for me to think to want to use them as dps... it seems to go against nature icon_sad.gif

Plus SPriests aren't so bad. Replenishment is guaranteed with every MB, my damage can hold its own with other dps classes, inner fire just got a lot more awesome, and I almost never need to drink since I started lvling past 70 thanks to improved spirit tap/dispersion/arcane torrent/shadowfiend XD

Pinny you know what you're talking about. Nice to hear that.

Arenas really just set the bar for who really was good at this game and isn't. I've never met a gladiator who wasn't a gladiator at PvE. The best gamers, are those that excell in arenas. The game was suppose to be based on both, and with resilience it's done just that.

Now people who love PvP can do it, at any time, with anyone.
People who love PvE can do it with people who enjoy it, and aren't in it just for the gear (PvP'rs, pre-BC).

It's a great separation, but Blizzard expected PvE to reign...Well, that's because PvE was the key to PvP Pre-BC.

Obviously, resilience allows skill to show.
