I just got word from a friend that someone is using my face pic on a dating app. When my friend asked if he could have a face pic, he was surprised that he saw my face. He texted me to verify if that really was me. I'm just worried that this guy is going to give me a bad rep in my community.

As grateful as I am to these apps for dating opportunities, I knew there are consequences to these kinds of things.

Just wondering if anyone one of you guys have had your pics ripped and used else where.

failscarf saidThe weirdest part would be if thats the persons actual face pic. Imagine going on a date with a guy that has your face.

I did that. The waiter kept screwing our plates up and giving each of us the wrong thing. Not recommended.

Thankfully not that I know of. I saw one guy who was using pics from a member on here.

What would really suck is if you do get into a relationship, and your bf's friend sees someone using your pics on a dating site and thinks it's you.

pogaymon saidwell, who's fault is that? if you don't want guys to steal your pictures on the internet, don't post them on the internet. it's simple. i never got why some people complain about things like this when they willingly volunteer their information out there like that. can't blame anybody but yourself for that.

look on the bright side. someone is basically giving you a compliment by taking your pic and claiming that it's them. they think that you're that attractive. sorry that this happened to you but you have to take responsibility as well for this. it's not like your info was hacked or something.

Dude.. you're stating the obvious that the OP already said this

If you put a watermark on your pics they usually will not steal them. Use the site that you are uploading your pics to for the watermark, that way if someone uses them, they will see what site they came from and eventually someone will report them.

    For instance
    watermark.jpg

@moonhawk- never thought about watermarking my pictures. Though do you think it would take away from the overall appeal of the picture?

@pazzy- there are a lot of useless threads, though I know this thread isn't all that, it was a shock to me when I heard of something like this. I guess you never really think about these things until it happens to you. Just wanted some input on the matter.

You can usually strategically place and size the water mark in an area where it will not take away from pic ... you might have to try a few different programs to find one that suit your need

A friend of mine from a few years back called me recently to ask if I had moved to Florida and had a dating profile down there, when I said no she sent me they pics they were using and it was all my pics from this site. Nothing to really be done about it, if your pics are out there people can do what they like with them online.

Easy fix, before updating your pictures put your screen name on the picture so other people can't use them... problem solved, problem staying solved.

i have had that done to me. the funny part is that he sent my picture to me. when i confronted him about it he said its wasn't my picture. when i showed him the full picture he was still trying to make up a lie. ha ha ha people are crazy. the funny part is that i do not get upset because they eventually have to meet up with whoever they are interested in so they will look like the fool in the end
