Hurricane Katrina devastated the gulf coast 3 years before President Obama took office, but that's just a minor and inconvenient truth for some Republicans.

The Public Policy Polling surveyed Republicans in Louisiana and asked them, among other things, who was more responsible for the poor response to Hurricane Katrina. Here are the results:

    George W. Bush 28%
    Barrack Obama 29%
    Not Sure 44%

Can that poll really be true? Are Louisiana Republicans THAT stupid and obsessively opposed to President Obama? Don't they actually live in Louisiana and own a calendar???

What are you babbling about? Can't you just get into some Pontiac POS and ride away into the sunset?

Republicans are responsible for the Big Bang I'm sure according to you. Nothing a republican ever does that's for the general good and yet you democrats are all saints. Is that really the way it is? Hate to inform you pal, but you're not all saints either. Plenty of blame to go around as delusional as think that might be.

Now, I have to get to the gym, but once I'm back I'll be happy to go on another all night bender versus you. After all, we haven't done one since last night.

Save the bender, which seems to have already begun for you. I'll be the first to acknowledge stupid Democrats exist.

But this thread was about moronic Louisiana Republicans who think President Obama is responsible for the Federal response to Hurricane Katrina. Can we talk about them?

Or after your gym, if you like, when your sentence structure may recover. Just make sure there's only plain water in your gym water bottle and not Chardonnay. icon_wink.gif

I saw this on The Dish. A reader replied 'As stated, the question amounts to “Whose fault is it that New Orleans was devastated: A guy you like or a guy you don’t like?” '

    Still, it's pretty funny.

Funny, or sad. But then consider the US citizens who think Abraham Lincoln signed the Declaration of Independence, or that George Washington fought the US Civil War. icon_rolleyes.gif

This isn't the first time a poll has shown that Republicans blame Obama for things that happened before his term started.

Yep. The RJ Conservaposse blames Obama for the Great Recession, which began before his inauguration.

A mere 2 months after Obama took office in 2009 - BOOM! Only then did the US economy collapse, and it was all Obama's fault.

Never mind the charts that showed the collapse began in 2007, when unemployment began to spike, the housing bubble burst, and Bush was already trying to bail out Wall Street and the auto industry. And nothing a President does in his first 2 months in office, limited as he is, could immediately affect the US economy.

But nope, nothing went wrong until March, 2009. You can either read the charts, or listen to Rush Limbaugh and the Conservaposse here. The same ones who will endorse the poll finding that the botched response to Hurricane Katrina was all Obama's fault. icon_rolleyes.gif

on their web site, Public Policy Polling says they use registered voter databases then match them to home phone numbers. This means no mobile phones.

So these result are of those stupid enough to still have a home phone.

Imagine you are a registered Republican voter, and some idiot calls you up and asks a question like that. How many of you would have answered Obama just to piss off the pollster?
