I don't think I've done this, but can't be sure!

Smartphones have become a major part of many people’s everyday lives. More and more smartphone owners use their devices to text, email, and surf the web throughout the day.

Now, some people have started using them in their sleep.

“My charger is right there in the corner so sometimes I would keep it right here next to me. I guess I got up and texted and went back to bed but I don’t remember it,” sleep texter Megan told CBS 2′s Kristine Johnson.

My cordless landline phone and Android phone are both programmed to go into silent mode at 9pm. As far as I'm concerned, my phones don't even exist until 6am.

Haha, I've definitely sent texts I don't remember but usually only after a night out. Wish there was a breathalyzer app, would b worth millions! lol

I don't think it's like sleep walking. I think these people are conscious when texting (in the middle of the night), but then forget next morning. I'm sure it's not a regular practice for anyone.
