Are u pretty open to anything & consider all points of view? Are ur preferences & fetishes as varied as can be? Or are u very rigid & inclusive & adamant with sticking to ur likes & only what u like? Do u allow for diversity in ur friends & lovers or do tend to stick/flock only with those that look like u or are in the same tax bracket? Do ur biases hinder u in being more open to all types?.....

My values are always changing and I'm a different person from years ago. It's like reading a middle-school book and finding out missed messages years later when you read it again. It makes me feel more understanding than before.

I'm the most open minded person in the world. I know this because I'm always right and everyone else is always wrong. icon_razz.gif

Sometimes. I don't think anyone's completely impartial all the time. I can usually agree to disagree if I even care.

I'm open-minded, yet critical. I also make it a point to not be so open-minded that my brain falls out the back.

In some environments (certain segments of university students), this (lost brains) can be quite an issue.

True. If ur too open-minded u could lose it. Just like if ur balls weren't in ur sack u'd lose em.....Could start believing in Scientology or end up like Antonin Artaud.....

    This.

    I was always:

    anti smoking
    anti drugs
    anti polygamy
    anti promiscuity
    anti fashion/style
    anti ego
    anti gay marriage

Now, I embrace and/or practice all these things.

I think we all know that our point of view is not always right or the best but I feel we all consider ourselves fair and open minded.

I think that an open mind, that showing some degree of flexiblity is a key to long term happiness. Think about the life of some opinionated bigot (and I'm not inferring that to have opinions is bad at all). Some people aren't open minded in the LEAST, on matter of politics, their views of the world or how they live their lives.

Such narrow limitations don't serve people well for the long term in my view.

Just read this from my fortune cookie slip:

"Our duty, as men and women, is to proceed as if limits to our ability did not exist."

I know, does one react or not to something negative? Reminds me if the movie Superman where Henry Cavill as Clark Kent just looks intently at the bully trucker who's taunting him to fight back, but instead he just turns the other cheek, knowing full well Clark could pulverize him in a second. But we're not Superman. And some stronger barks than others.....Being a man means not allowing urself to be instigated or provoked to go down to their level.....

Quite the profound question... but yes, I like to think I have an open mind.

I enjoy debating and discussing topics with people who have different viewpoints. That means I prefer to not resort to the "You think different than me, so YOU'RE an asshole!!"

Sadly, that's getting harder and harder to find.

So I'm very open-minded... except to the closed-minded.icon_lol.gif
