Something just crossed my mind today. Do you think there are many homophobes out there that enjoy the music of Queen?

    Wow that takes me back.
it was like they were cool as hell then the clueless got a clue--"What he's gay" and boom the ban hammer came down.
then what, 10 years later, they were cool again.

All types of people love QUEEN; straights, gays, cross-dressers, homophobes, circus clowns, spacemen, 12th century representations of Renaissance men... everybody.

    Again with the memories.
The girl I dated in high school was quite offended by my insentient playing and singing of this song.
However, it was Wayne's World, I believe, that brought them back to popularity.
I remember taking my baby sister to see it in the theater and how shocked she was that I knew all the words to 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.

Liberace was very popular with the silver haired women. Because of the times I really don't think it ever occurred to them that he was gay.

Yes. There are. They find ways of justifying it. "It was the 70's. Glam rock was in. You couldn't tell who was gay or straight. Good music is good music. Just because I like a couple of their songs doesn't mean I condone their lifestyle." icon_wink.gif
