I live close to Burlington. You always see people outdoors, biking, running, rollerblading, walking, and in the winter they hit the nearby trails and slopes. A real outdoor town. Outside Magazine rated it as one of the top outdoor towns in the US a few years ago.
That, plus a high level of education, good public health programs, all contribute to the ranking. It is what the right wing in the US likes to call "Ultra-liberal".icon_lol.gif

Yup, that's us. Vermont and New Hampshire are the 2 least religious states in the U.S. The religious right has almost no presence here. How do we ever manage to get thought life?

The previous ranking was from the U.S. CDC (Centers For Disease Control & Prevention). Yahoo just picked up the story, along with NPR, AP, and other news outlets. It was not a Yahoo ranking.

Most of the healthiest cities are cold more than they're warm. icon_sad.gif

There's no way Fargo is the 2nd healthiest.

I lived in Grand Forks (about 45 minutes north) for about a year, and everyone there wanted to kill themselves. That can't be healthy (hehe).

In my book anything less than 100K people is not even considered a city anyway. These types of best, worst, most healthy, etc., designations are totally in the eye of the beholder, and useless.

So if I were to tell you I was an American you might actually get confused and think I was from Colombia?
