    Told you so.

Republicans have long blamed President Obama's signature health care initiative for increasing insurance costs, dubbing it the "Unaffordable Care Act."

Turns out, they might be right.

For the vast majority of Americans, premium prices will be higher in the individual exchange than what they're currently paying for employer-sponsored benefits, according to a National Journal analysis of new coverage and cost data. Adding even more out-of-pocket expenses to consumers' monthly insurance bills is a swell in deductibles under the Affordable Care Act.

    Bull Shit!

My premium is going from $1100 to $450 a month. Although I am in a Ryan White Program OA HIPPS....it's criminal what they are charging the state program.

    Bordeom.

My premium will be cut in half as of October. Nobody takes the National Journal or any biased Republican news outlet very seriously. At some point Republicans will have to stop whining and scandalmongering and actually put forth some ideas.

Letterman added that if healthcare reform improves the country's financial situation, it would disgruntle GOP lawmakers.

"The Republicans are worried now that once healthcare is fully implemented in this country, people will start to like it," Letterman joked.

If Republicans had a brain they would have step back and let it fail catastrophically ( if they earnestly believe that) then the blame would be squarely on Obama. As it is Obama can blame each change he is making to the act on them. One statistic that is not being mentioned is the group like me who won't be able to afford the new mandated luxury policies and drop
out . It looks like without a bare bones option my premium would double.

I don't think I have any worries in regards to ObamaLamaDingDong's Unafforable Care Act. Let me know in about twenty years if there is anything left to America.

Well this is a great program. However its not the typical situation for folks across the country.

It is a program to pay the premiums / Cobra of someone who has insurance and when they become Medical(medicaid outside california) eligible the state pays part of the premium to avoid that person from going into traditional Medi-Cal.

The foreseen consequence of the ACA law being enacted is that employers have dropped insurance or have restructured to avoid insurance.

I think in the end it would have been way cheaper for the government to just BUY the insurance as in the HIPPS program for people who didnt have it. And not altered or required anything new for the people who had insurance.

I have no idea how that happened. I'll fix that as soon as I post this.

Well, after the inexplicable deleting of my accounts Southbeach1501 and Southbeach1502, I figure maybe it's the actual account name that was the cause of the suspensions, so I'm trying something different with this account name. We'll see.

It would be an interesting approach, but no matter what the Republicans didn't do, Obama and his liberal allies at ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC and CNN would still blame the Republicans.
