Newt Gingrich that weaselly little gnome is back in the saddle talking trash
and NOW he is saying that we the homosexuals are fascists icon_rolleyes.gif

Ain't that the pot calling the kettle black
He was recently on WhatTheFox News ... Where else would it be?
    and he said....

"Look, I think there is a gay and secular fascism in this country that wants to impose its will on the rest of us, is prepared to use violence, to use harassment. I think it is prepared to use the government if it can get control of it. I think that it is a very dangerous threat to anybody who believes in traditional religion. And I think if you believe in historic Christianity, you have to confront the fact. And, frank — for that matter, if you believe in the historic version of Islam or the historic version of Judaism, you have to confront the reality that these secular extremists are determined to impose on you acceptance of a series of values that are antithetical, they're the opposite, of what you're taught in Sunday school."

Here's the video if you can stomach it

FOX is just scrambling for ANYTHING and ANYONE to talk about since the Democrats won.....and no one is better able to throw mud than Newt and "BUBBA O'Reilly".....funny how anyone that doesn't agree with them is always a "secular, radical, ultra-liberal, leftwing, fascist"....I wonder if either of these two donated to Prop 8, directly or through some other indirect way?icon_razz.gif FOX is going to loose their market share if they aren't divisive and controversial....wouldn't that be a shame? LOL!!!!
For a man that knows shit ".....NEWT for Sanitarian in 2012 !"

Hell yeah I will take my gay fascism and cram it down the pigs throat. It's no longer "Oh please sir, accept me and give me some rights, I promise to behave like a sheep and live in your version of a perfect, well behaved society that follows Sunday school teachings", it's now "fuck you religious freak pill popper, deal with it".

Yeah, well the uniforms are one thing -- but they usually come in very drab colors. And I hope that's not polyester!

This country has suffered under the fascism of religious puritanism since the pilgrims stepped off the Mayflower. It's about time we shake off those shackles. But of course, losing their grip on power makes people like Gingrich shudder to the core.

I say let them shudder. These people have always been on the wrong side of history and they're on the wrong side of the gay marriage issue.

Gingrich's hyperbole appeals to a certain ignorant and paranoid section of the population, but most people see it for the blustering rabble rousing it is and dismiss it.

I am not sure why some religious people are uncomfortable with a variety of beliefs and ways of living in society. Nobody is trying to take their religion away from them. But they are trying to prevent others from living a fully actualized life based on what their religion supposedly teaches them. That is to my mind behavioural fascism. Demanding that others behave the way you think they should, and passing laws to ensure that this happens.

Hmmm no one's asking or demanding anyone marry a gay person. We think gays will probably marry each other.
    What a concept.

Of course it would allow Newtie and Bubba to finally tie the knot... icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Indeed! But the religious think not being able to impose their beliefs on everybody else as an imposition on them!

I tell you, the world would be far better with no religious people whatsoever. If you can seriously believe in spooks and goblins, celestial or earthly, it gets in the way of coming to grips with reality. If you can believe in the make-believe than you can believe in any trumped up nonsense.

You have to know religious fundamentalists in America.

They believe this is a Christian nation. They believe it is not only their right, but their obligation and duty to shape public policy to comply with God's Word. And that leaves no place for gay marriage.

If you disagree with them, you are an agent of Satan. And that sounds like I'm parodying them, but I'm really not. I'm completely serious.

If you want to see how religious fundie nuts think, you should mosey over to freerepublic.com some time. It's scary but it'll give you a good insight into those deranged minds.

Newt is a hypocritical passive-aggressive ass. Even his own lesbian activist sister Candice would agree I am sure. Oh wait she already did in this letter to him http://www.huffingtonpost.com/candace-gingrich/a-letter-to-my-brother-ne_b_145739.html

He is such a model of traditional marriage that he got married 3 times and cheated too! Resigned from the house due to his hypocrisy you would think he would just shut up! What a slimeball.

He and all the other passive-aggressive jackasses need to mind their own demons:

Yes, let's use words like scary words like fascism and socialism and scary names like Hitler and Stalin to frighten the vast masses of people into believing that being unjust and hypocritical for not living up to your own belief that all are created equal is the right thing to do. Remind me again, how did that work out for Palin?

I am inclined to agree with you but I think gays are being set up to be the next villains for the GOP platform. They have said so using the codeword "sanctity of marriage" ..

http://rawstory.com/news/2008/GOP_leader_Rebuild_party_based_on_1109.htmlWhen asked by Chris Wallace what "conservative solutions" the GOP would bring to their current minority-party status, Pence said social issues like "the sanctity of marriage" will remain the backbone of the Republican platform.

"You build those conservative solutions, Chris, on the same time-honored principles of limited government, a belief in free markets, in the sanctity of life, the sanctity of marriage," Pence said.

The Indiana representative cited the ballot measures against gay marriage that passed on Election Day as evidence of the continuing presence of conservative values.

I posted the following to another website's commentary boards in response to a story about anti-Prop8 gays 'bullying' supporters of Prop8; I thought it might be fitting for this variation on the topic.

    ---
Oh the humanity! Prop8 supporters are feeling picked on? Well welcome to the experience gay people have been treated to for decades if not centuries. Harassment and intimidation? Check. Property damage? Check. Oppression in the business sphere? Check. Physical violence? We’ve been beaten and murdered by the hundreds. On the ’silence of politicians?’ The same people now screaming foul have resisted attempts at hate-crimes legislation and anti-discrimination legislation for as long as can be remembered. And as for complaints that the ‘leaders of the Prop8 opposition’ aren’t reigning in the anger of their supporters? You mean kind of like conservative churches and right-wing politicians have been condemning and reproaching their hate-spewing attack dogs all this time?

Gay people and our rights have been kept down, have been treated like second-class citizens (at best), and now that the oppressed are starting to emulate the oppressors there are cries for humane civility? We’ve tried civility; we were disrespected. We’ve appealed to ‘humanity;’ we were dehumanized. We’ve tried negotiation; our appeals were ignored. Now you’re reaping what you’ve sown. You’re experiencing what you’ve subjected us to our whole lives. Our old have been assaulted, our young have been terrorized and disowned, our dollars have been turned away, our homes have been vandalized, and all the while, every protest has been met with indifference or scorn. “You brought this on yourselves,” we’ve heard it more times than there are stars in the sky. You never tried to control the extremist thugs in your camp, why should we control ours any longer? You never respected our rights, what reason can you offer now for us to respect yours? You never afforded us dignity or consideration, who are you to ask for us to be dignified and considerate?

For years we tried to earn respect and equality playing by rules that the gay-hating ‘powers that be’ had rigged so guarantee we never had a fair shot, while you snickered amongst yourselves at how ridiculous and weak we were. Now that’s changing; gay people are starting to play the same gritty, offensive game and suddenly we’re ‘out of control.’ Wake up. You refused to treat us like you treat yourselves, now we’re treating you like you’ve treated us. This is physics; the opposite and equal reaction to your actions.

You want civility? You want good behaviour and calm heads and reasonable discourse? You first– for a change. We’ve already demonstrated through decades of self-restraint that we are capable of taking the higher ground; what we are now is disinclined. We’re fed up, we’re mad with grief and rage, and we see no incentive to continue the same conversation with you anymore. You want to bring us back to the table? Show us that you will deal in good faith, that you will listen, that you will be respectful, and that you will muzzle your frothing-at-the-mouth extremists. Give us a reason to de-escalate. But calling us ‘hateful’ or ‘bigots’ rings hollow and disingenuous; it never stopped you, and as content as you’ve been to be pots, we can learn to be contented kettles.

Well Active, at least that's a platform the public generally isn't buying into at this point in time -- not that they won't buy into it again -- they're fickle, but those conservative tenents are quite passe at the moment, or at least don't resonate with where most people are.

Old New's a windbag, and has been for some time. He may try to be sartorial, but he's all to human which lead to his down fall. Interestingly there is some evidence that suggests that what predisposes someone to homosexuality also predisposes their straight relatives to fecundity or at least more sexual partners and therefore potentially greater reproduction. If that is so, then it would appear the apple didn't fall far from he tree in Newt's case, as he's spread his sperm around quite liberally.

Unfortunately many people seem to think that life should be lived based on a moral code that not even they themselves can keep -- though they may be in denial as to that. The incongruity is that they themselves often live lives based on something other than what they espouse, and probably more based in their genetic proclivities, passions and downright weakenesses than they'd be willing or care to admit.

We have been the GOP's villains for far too long already. Easy target, they think. Oh yeah? More and more people are starting to see thru their desperate shit. And Newt sure is the one to talk about the "sanctity" of "traditional" marriage isn't he. Judas Priest!!!!!! As Hitler used the Jews, so do the Republicans use gay people. It's so obvious.
